Lol

We are both on the side line

In our arm chairs

I am distressed that you are upset with me as I value your tantrums

Some here may snigger at your childish outbursts but I look for the wisdom within the tantrum

After all you are probably in the top 100 arm chair coaches in the world

If there was a dally m for best arm chair coach you got my vote

exactly what i expected, deflection

pussy tactic

not childish mate

deliberately trying to push my buttons over debating the subject matter is childish

im fine for anyone to disagree with me and to give me an opposed point of view, thats what defines discussion / debate

tell me why im wrong though, dont dance around the bush on the sidelines and just take pot shots which is all you ever do, break it down so I can understand why you have your view

simple really

but then, you are a half wit

I already have
Read back
Try to snatch the pebble out of my hand grasshopper
It's quite simple
A good kick
Beale was in the normal wingers position and caught it to prevent the potential for a try

It was not an error
To attack it from the outside in as you redeculously suggested, would require Beale to be standing outside the touch line

Surely they teach you such things in arm chair coach school

Beale was standing about 8 metres in about 10 metres out.
For a kick from 35 metres out, that's almost perfect position.
Morgan's kick was perfect. He couldn't land it 1 metre from the try line so he went for 1 metre from the sideline.
95/100 wingers would have done the exact same thing

Far be it from little Ol' me to take on the most prolific arm chair coach on this forum but I will have a go

The kick landed a yard inside the touch line with a bunch of Cowboys bearing down on it
Beale caught the ball and inevitably his momentum carried him into touch

Defusing kicks, particularly good ones, often forces an adverse outcome

The best that can be done in such a situation is remove the potential for a scoring play by taking the ball out of play

It happens every game

You need to watch more than highlight reels

well so you did, to my astonishment, pardon me for missing it amongst all your bullshit

positioning for the kick, where he needed to be or too far infield?

where he should be

if he was standing under it they simply would have kicked deeper

as it was he was positioned to successfully get to any kick placed down his corridor

if he is wider and a tad deeper he comes forward to the ball not to the left

he goes to the grass, situation defused

same concept as in cricket

there is a reason cricketers stand deep and come forward to the ball

lateral adjustments are easier to make and you can cover ground quicker

the cov was the best at prepping for the kick

his positioning was vastly different, he attacked the ball from depth

and if he was up closer or deeper or more to the left or right then they kick the ball somewhere else
as it was he was positioned appropriately equidistant to all possible landing points for kicks in his corridor

you stand where he did and you will get the same outcome each and every time on that kick

he is running at pace towards the sideline, what other outcome on that play is there?

beale did all he could do in that situation.

do you think morgan kicked it there by accident?
do you think morgan didn't look at where the back 3 were before kicking?

i've watched it several times and i can't fault beale one bit, in fact he did a great job of defusing a potential nightmare.

but i have no armchair coaching qualifications so ignore me.

its like deliberately giving away a corner kick in soccer to barcelona

set backline 20 out from scrum to last years premiers to run a block play to the left

just for the sake of the exercise lets say that quarter of the field is grided A-E along the in goal line and 1-5 along the touch line

as it was he was standing roughly in zone B3

the ball landed in A4

what zone would you have him stand keeping in mind the fullback was at roughly E2

each to their own, I wont convince you otherwise

i see it as a positional mistake, you CAN position yourself better in that scenario to defuse what happened

millers is still a f**kwit of the highest order though

learn how to engage in the topic rather play the funny guy throwing around all your school yard "armchair coaches school" comments, just further reiterates you as a monumental dickhead

Bottom line - we all make mistakes or get caught in situations that look like we made a mistake...

It's called being human - even Andrew Johns dropped the ball from time to time.

Get over it.

Beale has done far better with us than I thought he ever could. I thought he was over-rated at the Broncos & Dragons (& Eels?) - he's good!

Don't forget, that kick was high and swirling around like a merkin too. He was probably in a good position 2 or 3 times to take the catch, before the f**ker would drift away again.
