It has seemed good enough in the past but I guess now that we're not allowed to question anything the use of this board is considered "cowardly".

Haha, judging from the posts made by the apologists in this thread it means exactly that.

I'll catch you guys tomorrow night. Kisses.

Liberal voting nice person. ;-)

3 months on and the biggest complaint is that they haven't put the TAB back in...

I'm now convinced that the 3P were a sensational choice....

if I have a complaint it's that it took them 3 months to get rid of the deadwood and hire some decent Management to run the joint...

TAB??....pfffftt!!

The same rules do apply actually. I don't have a problem with that......never have.
That's cool.

I was move commenting on the general vibe and people saying things like "she'll be right" and "trust them and don't ask questions" etc. Seems different approach than applied to our scrutiny of the last lot, and I'd had to see the fans that were energised by the campaign just fall back into the old apathy by not passing opinions or asking questions re the club on here.

But do you Bart, personally think, that the current regime should be torn into about the issue of this thread?
Can you just answer that?
I think I did answer that above... at #46 ("Sure, I don't think anyone's saying overall they haven't made good progress etc etc. To me this thread was just a specific call out on one particular issue that had been widely shared before the elections.")

But if you want me to be more specific, I don't think someone raising one specific issue of criticism equals the board being "torn into". It's not a big issue, but as I've said I think the scrutiny is a healthy thing, and I'd expect the thread might receive an informative response from someone able to do so.

Sure, everyone has the right to ask a question, but to paraphrase the title with the word "lies"????? Do you Bart, think the TAB discussion were lies?
I'm not sure why I'm being asked questions about the original poster's opinion... But I personally wouldn't label the TAB discussions as lies at the moment.

Though if that's someone's opinion I don't see why they shouldn't feel free (not discouraged) to raise it for discussion, and if it results in some clarification on the issue in response, then we are all in a better position (ie in the know) as a result of the thread. I think that's healthy and open and accountable, and what we on here hoped for from the previous lot when passing opnion on club matters in threads. [/QUOTE]

There were many statements made by 3P whilst they were in election mode which gave them momentum. The dire state of the Club's finances and the queue of sponsors that would not come on board until we had a Denisecotomy. Yes, to a lesser extent the TAB and the restructuring of the layout of the club.

I would think that even the most ardent of 3P supporters would now concede that the club is, and always was, traveling just fine and that the queue of sponsors was nothing but election puffery ?

To the monkey's who started this pathetic thread, yes a TAB will be introduced.

There are contracts in place at the moment that the old board have signed off and the current manangement can't do a lot of things as breaking those contracts would mean court action and payouts.

In Sterlo's, those stupid doors that do out to the balcony have been signed off to be replaced by automatic doors.

Regarding the TAB, the new board are drawing up plans for Sterlo's to make it more a pub atmosphere with TAB, snooker, big screens, more tables and chairs, etc.

You can understand they need to scope the work out and draw up plans on how it will all fit up there, will they knock downs walls to make it bigger, etc

These are all factors they need to consider and do u expect that in the few months they have been there for, your kidding....

As Staggs mentioned, the board are going through a major restructure with staff to save some money, etc.

Did you know we rent out the lights in the auditorium still to this day from the night club days???

Stop whinging and support the club. It will all happen

Who cares that we are now starting to win a few games, signing some good new players, resigning players and getting alot of the admin side in some sort of order.

We should just close up shop as far as footy is concerned, and put in a TAB !

The club wasnt travelling well Gronk. I'm not silly enough not to think there was some exageration - I think we all knew that, but the last two annual reports painted the picture of a stagnant club IMO.

As for the sposnors, that will be tested wehn existing deals expire surely? I mean, you can't for example undermine your current jersey sponsor by announcing their replacement before the deal runs out can you?

Perhaps the original poster and 3P captain should not have inferred that the former CEO's presence was in fact preventing a gaggle of sponsors from jumping on board and that his departure would trigger an immediate financial windfall for the club ?
