Thing is, where the f**k do England even go from here?

The middle order is probably not as bad as it's looked, they just refuse to pick and stick. Malan, Root, Pope, Stokes, Bairstow and Buttler are all at least up to international cricket. Foakes always looked pretty good too They need to pick a 3-7 and stand by it.

The openers are all garbage. Quite literally. I do t follow the County stiff much anymore but social pages are throwing out Malan as an option so clearly there mustn't be a lot back home. Can a guy like Ollie Pope open? Or maybe Foakes?

Root can't be captain after this series. He's not up to it. Stokes is a great option for line and seems like the guy who relishes that stuff too.

The attack is ok. But Broad and Anderson are a thousand and Wood is very breakable. Still, plenty of decent bowlers in England. They desperately need a spinner. There's wraps.on Parkinson, why not chuck him in and give him 15 matches? Can't be worse than Leach/Bess/Crane...

Silverwood I think will be made to swim back to England after this tour is done, or take his chances with people smugglers, and rightly so. He is the sole selector and while they don't have much on the bench in terms of who can step in and play international test cricket, the shit tactics must surely be at least half his fault and not solely on Root.

is it true Aust hasn’t won a series overseas since 2016? Needs fixing
Yeah we beat New Zealand 2-0 in February 2016. Mccullum's last series.

Since then
Lost to Sri Lanka in 16, India in 17, South Africa & Pakistan in UAE in 18.

Drew with Bangladesh in 17 and England in 19.

We have only played one true away series since sandpaper gate. Which was 2019 ashes.

2018 series against Pakistan was in UAE obivously so its probably still considered neutral.

NZ are forever Australia's bitches in test cricket 🤣.

We are going there for more T20s in February.

That series could well have been different if the umpire didn't stuff up when he called a no ball to voges when he got bowled to a legal delivery when he was on 10.

They couldn't change it because the umpire called it during the delivery. He ended up getting 235. Pretty costly mistake.

And Voges wouldn't have the 2nd best batting average in test cricket

Yep we’ve had some bad decisions against us, but sadly we haven’t responded well and folded

current team is good, but who knows

Aust vs NZ should be more often. I’ll be f**ked if it wouldn’t be great.
Certainly over there would be interesting atm with our fragile batting.

But NZ were here 2 years ago and shat the bed they didn't even come close.

They weren't as abysmal as England. But they were very ordinary.

And btw If voges had been given out when he should have in that innings.

His Test career average drops from 61 to 52.
