Khawaja is just f**king f**ked.

Love how CA also "rest" our best bowlers then gift up a spinning track. It's almost like they don't want Australia to win.

I wouldn't say it's a spinning track.

We've just picked an 80's-esque top four or five and we're paying heavily for it.

Khawaja with the softest dismissal of his summer, and that says plenty.

MS Stoinis to bring in some solid plod now to build on the plod.

I know I'm pushing shit uphill on here, but I've always hated that you can be stumped off a wide...seems completely incongruous.

I think it is fine, because until the batsmen plays at the ball, and it misses everything, the umpire cannot call wide.

Nothing to stop the batsmen recognizing the line, and staying in his crease.

They’re capable of better than this, the batting strategy is just absurd. They’re not even running the first hard to chase potential twos, it’s just a lazy performance.

Conversely, bowlers can and do deliberately push it wide when batsmen are coming at them.

I've just always thought that if you can't be stumped off an illegal ball when the bowler oversteps, it's absolutely silly to be able to be stumped off another illegal ball that by definition is illegal cos you can't hit it.

I've also always been in a minority in that opinion, so those are the breaks I guess.

Australia in this ODI scoring at a slower rate than the CA XI did yesterday in the tour match vs Sri Lanka.

This is ridiculous batting, Stoinis is completely fine with blocking out dot balls.

You have to be looking for singles on offer, it’s hopeless tactics. Handscomb actually trying to rotate the strike meanwhile.

Wtf is stoinis doing? Couldve hit just about every ball he has faced for one and he has only hit 2 singles.

It's absolutely ludicrous.

Handscomb is manipulating the ball into gaps and pushing for runs, and then Stoinis gets on strike and pats half volleys back to the bowler...it's another reason the side we picked was such a joke. Marsh, Khawaja, and Finch are poor at strike rotation as well. So you've got Carey batting amongst blokes who don't run, and then Handscomb sandwiched between the same kind of guys.

Stoinis, at least, can catch up if he hangs around....but if he gets out at 10 off 25 it's a complete waste. At least look to go at around a run a ball when you start off

Haha.
I disagree, but it sounds like you have heard it all before, so will save the thread the tedium =))
