I cast my mind back to how busy every Australian batsman used to be, particularly middle order batsman like Clarke, Hussey and Bevan.
They’d always be alert, pouncing on singles, stealing twos and punishing anything loose, and if nothing else even a dot ball had energy and intent just through body language. Didn’t matter if you had them a couple down you never felt like you’re in charge.
Look at these guys now,just coasting along waiting for the 40th over to show up while India boss them around.
Only these two at the crease now bat anything like Austalia of old.
