In the end, you feel like stumps is more in India's interest than Australia's.

The hard thing is going to be for Cummins and Lyon to get set again tomorrow morning.

Haven’t really watched much cricket in the last few years...

Sat down and actually watched the last couple of hours of today’s boxing day test...

I gotta say I was really impressed by Cummins.. absolutely love seeing blokes apply themselves in tough situations when maybe they would have had every excuse to throw it away.

That’s what I love about test cricket TBH...

They probably both went straight down to the nets while the rest of the team went to watch finch demolish the buffet at crown

Marsh is a problem, for sure. He's 35 and hasn't made it in Test cricket, he never will.

But Finch and Mitch Marsh are bigger issues. We know that Shaun Marsh is CAPABLE of scoring hundreds, and in most conditions. It's a sad position to be in but given where we sit he probably needs to stay for the short term, although maybe we need to use him differently somehow.

The other two are walking wickets with no real Test match form behind them ever

S. Marsh is a place holder. Smith will come back in and he will be straight out.

Finch is not a Test batsmen. Just a poor experiment. He is what they said Warner would always be in 2011.

I guess M. Marsh is, in reality, a bowling allrounder- but as others have pointed out, bowling is hardly the issue in this team. Still, he's probably as handy as Handscomb at this point. Maybe more so because he can roll the arm over. But who are the options at 6?

Lol at SKW. When asked if there should be any changes, he deflects from dropping his mate and says if they are to drop him they need to drop 5 or 6 and try some new things. Even suggested dropping bowlers for of all blokes Adam Zampa.

Oh Shane, that agenda is as big as your importation of Baked Beans.

I think there are probably a few options at six, realistically.

Chief among them being Matt Wade, for the short term. All jokes aside the bloke has scored 570 shield runs this year at 65-odd. If he's ever going to make it as Test bat, it's now.

Daniel Hughes is probably playing a bit better now than he was last year when he was allegedly in the mix. He can open, or bat six. He could open and have Joe Burns slot in the middle somewhere, maybe four, and push Shaun Marsh to 5 and Head to 6.

Jake Lehmann has been decent, 460 odd runs at 46. Kurtis Patterson wouldn't be my first pick cos of his poor conversion rate, but he's averaging 50-odd. Even Alex Carey, albeit in only 2 games, is averaging 75.

So we have options we could look at.

Well, you'd know about them better than I.

But-

3- Khawaja
4- S. Marsh
5- Wade
6- Head

might go a bit better, hey?

Still seems a bit like a band-aid

I don't really know the other guys.

Yeah, but a band-aid is realistically what we need. Every team these days pretty much relies on two or three bats, and one and a half of ours are banned....
