I reckon Smudge has dropped plenty of sitters in his career.

So them saying he doesnt drop them is a bit of lazy commentary.

He isnt in ponting's class who snaffled everything.

Did they say he has dropped 6 in his career

If thats true, they must have all been sitters than makes us think its a lot more...

Not one of our great slips cordons.

Khawaja isn't a first slip, third is acceptable for him. We've always had to hide him in the field.

Smith is an excellent 2nd slip, he's a bit like Warne in that he does does drop the occasion sitter. Definitely not in the Ponting or M Waugh class.

Labs @ 3rd? Yeah, I guess we don't have many other options.

Any word on Hazlewood

Cricinfo reckon he didnt start the day out there and could have got injured again.

What a blunder that would be he bowled 5 overs ffs.

Probably forget the follow on id imagine if Haze is gone

Give Paddy / Starc some rest before getting stuck in again, they both probably bowl 20+ overs this innings

India now gets the extra few days to rest their attack. And our ageing attack will be breaking their backs if they start pushing for the W with less recovery time. Gonna need to be thoughtful when picking our attack at the MCG.

Boland in for Haze is a no brainer. Save Hazelwood for the SCG. You'd have to look at changing out Marsh as well IMO. He hasn't contributed much with the ball or bat and someone like Beau Webster looks a more dangerous prospect right now.
