I'd keep Hazlewood out of the team until he is 197% fit.

Boland in Australia is a good replacement.
Its a major stuff up and pretty selfish from Haze.

Who recovers from side-strains in 2 weeks.

Why risk Hazlewood on short notice when we had a fit Boland.

Now this puts more strain on the rest of the bowlers for this test match.

Are we going to have to be subjected to Marnus medium pace rubbish now.

Hazlewood to open the batting 2nd innings

Gets hit on the helmet, concussed (fakes it)

Like for like replacement - enter the Boland

For the SCG the other guy is Abbott. Brings his batting with him too.

Average age of the squad isn't too pretty:

Usman 37 (Turns 38 tomorrow...)
Smith 35 (36 in June)
Marsh 33 (Not that old but he looks old)
Hazelwood 33 (Injury prone)
Lyon 37 (38 in November)
Starc 34 (35 in January)
Boland 35 (36 in April)

They won't all retire at once. Some like Smith will be begged to stay on post Ashes next year. Lyon as a spinner could keep going.

They just showed highlights of Boland at the MCG against England years back.

Bairstow gets done LBW and you can see Steve Smith pick up the loose ball and try to throw down the stumps. They were on to old mate Bairstow and his brain fades well before the 2023 series in England. 100% his fault for not correcting something you should learn in school.

This match is going to need some Mish Dursh magic to save it

we're f**ked if we have to rely on the Boat, he is doing nothing atm and they are feasting off his short and wide stuff

gonna be hard to rely on the 2 quicks and the Bison and perhaps a bit of Labs rolling his arm over

Abbott's nearly 33, averaging 40 with the ball in ODIs and 30 at first class level. Shouldn't be anywhere near the Australian side
