No chance any of this lot willingly sit out and let a new face have a chance to get one up on them

It won't be up to them. Players will be dropped.

If we lose the next test then it means Australia have lost the Border-Gasakar trophy at home 3 series in a row. That is completely unacceptable. When was the last time that has happened in Australian cricket? The 80s?

Heads will roll.

The first question a Victorian asks you is 'who do you barrack for?'

When you answer 'The raiders' they get very confused and wander off to haunt someone else.
Fleming turned a Healey day 4 100 and a draw in Pakistan into “Geelong’s Three Peat” on ABC.

This is good stuff from Cummins. Whether it's true or not, it sends the message "you only got us out because we were going for quick runs trying to set the game up".

All those batsmen who are out, are all the ones under the microscope too!
Smith may have bought himself some leeway with his first innings, but McSweeney hasn't made much with his chances. Khawaja is on the slippery slope, his average seems to be on the decline. Marnus is, well Marnus. Mitch Marsh, outside of his catches, hasn't really been effective at all.

Sadly, there's not much you can replace them with.
Webster for Marsh seems to be the most obvious one.
I think Renshaw, Kontas or Bancroft need to open with Khawaja. Can't drop Uzzie just yet imo.
Then there's Marnus... maybe it's worth putting Smith to first drop, and try McSweeney at 4? Remember, McSweeney isn't an opener by trade
Bancroft is in his 30s and doesn't even average 40 in first class cricket. He's not the answer and never has been.

looking at all the dismissals it looks like we were going for big hits from the start, except Marsh

could be interesting if the rain holds off, 52 or so overs to be bowled
