but if it was an Aussie batting you would not be saying that. you would say there is no doubt it was out
I didnt think the Smith catch should have been given out.
Cricinfo:
Thats a very, very tough call. One angle indicates he took it, the straight view says something else. I'm not convinced he took it.

As with this, if there is doubt and ultimately you thinkk it could go either way, then by the rules of the game it should go the batsmans way because of the benefit of the doubt rule.

Found the soap yet Tommy?
Id pay that if it was in response to my "more of that famous wit" line.

But tragically it wasn't. It was infact even more of that famous wit and clever humour...

And ofcourse you dont want them to lose ElD. But just as much as my opinion might be biased because i want SA to win yours is biased because you want Australia to win.

If you ignore that Billy was going to or did give it out first before he went to the third umpire.

The third umpire could not say either way with a bias towards he caught it so Billy used his original assesment of the catch.

The thing about the McDonald catch was that it looked out at full speed but suspect when slowed down.

It's a bit like the vide ref in the NRL - if you slow it down enough you can always find a reason to say 'No Try'.

And for the record I think Hauritz has bowled quite well this Test.

Whether anyone rates him or not is irrelevant, he's been pretty decent.

Sorry willy but i dont see how anyone can say based on those replays that the ball didnt at the very least graze the ground for a split second.

Similarly, the same could be said about the Smith catch in Melbourne. The precedent had been set for the series, and I really can't see why anyone would be surprised! Not that I remember all that much uproar over the Melbourne catch, while the series was still on the line mind you.

Massive wicket there to Hauritz. Amla gone, done by extra bounce. Easy catch to Katich. Australia would outdo even the incredible standards they’ve set this series if they can manage to lose this one from here...

If Siddle and Johnson put together plenty of overs it's possible...

Haha, cheeky bugger.

We'll be right. Although I think one of the two of them will go wicketless in this innings.

Siddle is one of those jack of all trade bowlers. Can bowl quick at times, get seam movement, bounce and swing. Just never does it for more than a ball or two though.

Did I just hear Chappell and Healy contemplating having Stuart Clark as 12th man in SA?

WTF?

12.. Clark

WTF indeed. If fit he should be the first bowler picked. Never herd them Mention Jaques either!

Clark
Johnson (Unfortunately have to pick him)
Bollinger ( Thought he bowled well without a lot of luck)
Krejza (best of a band bunch.. He may go over the fence a bit but least he spins the bloody ball!)

Johnson has showed he can bat. F**k off Both Symonds and McDonald and put a genuine number 6 who can hold the innings together. What is this obsession with all rounders who cant do anything particularly well!
