3rd Test: Australia vs South Africa in Sydney

Thats what happens when you bowl at the stumps to a guy with no arms practically...far out.

honest question

how much of the last 2 hours did you watch?

they did bowl at the stumps and the batsman had the bat down halfway through the bowlers jump and they did bowl on the stumps to smith

it's like some people automaticaly think bowling at the stumps = out

we didn't play very well... it really should have been a draw.

with a fit smith it most certainly would have been.

we scored 445 in the first innings and had them at 5/190

then on a so called "mine field" we got 257 for the loss of 4 wickets throwing their wickets for quick runs then bowled south africa out for 103 runs short of the target

yeah, we didn't play well at all

f**king hell, some of you lot are whinging bastards. We win the game and you still f**king whinge. Yes it took longer than it should've but who gives a sh*t. Get your priorities right. We won. That's the main thing.

This was a good win, even though it was a dead rubber. There wasn't as much between the two teams in the first two games as a lot of people have made out.

I noted earlier that we were in a position to win all three games and it's not quite the dire situation people have been saying ... but f**k our bowling attack is awful.

Graeme Smith just became my favourite cricketer.

Amazing guts. Amazing theatre.

That's what makes cricket, at its best like this, the most tensely drawn out sport in the world. Such sustained nervousness.

C'mon TT, in 20 overs I saw about 6 deliveries directed at the stumps... and no yorkers!

well you obviously had your head turned

what do you think johnson was doing around the wicket?

everything aimed at the stumps was calmly defended by ntini and steyn and smith had three great balls that would have ripped off stump out of the ground that he prodded away because his bat never moved

some of you are dead set kidding yourself with your assesments

I do agree - Smith has earned my utmost respect this series.

Highlight of the test series = Smith walking out to bat at No.11. That ovation was something else.

Mostly missing the stumps by about 2 metres TT, that's what he was doing.

He is a bowler wildly lacking control. When he gets it right he is unplayable but for the most part the ball could be going anywhere.

did you watch the game? RSA were basically 1 wicket down in both innings with smith retiring at 30.. then struggling today..

Aus will not take alot out of this.. haddin dropping catches.. lots of dropped catches in the outfield.. sh*t bowling.. haydud failing yet again... taking over 2 houts to dismiss a tail..

Siddle gets MOM on a bowlers wicket :? If Clarke doesn't hit 138 and we don't get 445 totally different result.

Yep, all 4 of them - and none from Johnson who looked like he was actually bowling on the spare pitches.

However, this was a young bowling attack missing our two strike bowlers - and we won the Test.

A solid performance even though the inexperience showed.
