Sheens has changed the sides stucture. He mentions Gallen being a natural laft side player (which is correct) and Lewis being a natural on the right. Gallen played right both other games.

This suggest Lewis will ball play to Hodges and Hayne.

Gallen will run off Thurston in tight leaving room for Inglis and Morris.

This I like. Seems Watmough will come on for Hindy. Kind of wastes Hindy.

What do you think Big Pete bench even worse now with Thaiday and Gidley?

Hard to say.

I like the idea of Watmough coming off the bench, but the inclusion of Thaiday and Gidley has me concerned. Preferably I would've liked to of seen White come in for Thaiday (largely because he's the only natural prop left) with Cronk on the bench as insurance for the halves.

In saying, I'm proud of Thaiday, just as you are of Gallen.

Talk of Jennings in the centers ahead of hodges (all cause he scored 3 tries vs the Escargo Frogs)
Playing Gidley off the bench when he is a club footballer....he is useless in rep games.
Not playing Hayne at fullback vs the Frogs (Sheens wanted him to get used to the wing again...well he was lost out there again)

Sheens is a USELESS COACH!

Kurt Gidley again being touted as a utility. When will the men that matter realise he is NOT A UTILITY. Fullback or nothing. Should not even be in the squad.

Cronk deserves a run, he came on and everyone lifted a gear, hit a 40-20 and can give the likes of a JT or Lockyer a short spell if they are ineffective at any stage.

If the rain continues, as seems likely, Sheens may even choose four forwards on his interchange, opting to leave out Kurt Gidley, the bench utility. Sheens said he was likely to play hooker Cameron Smith for the entire 80 minutes, which throws Gidley's role into some question.

''I've got to cover the halves and the hookers,'' he said. ''I don't think I can leave Gidley out under those circumstances. He just covers too many options, and you can't count on not having a hiccup for some reason.

''If the conditions got really, really dour, you might get away without a Gids and use a bigger bench.''

Again Lewis is the best utility Australia have. I'm happy hes starting because hes been great this season, but it means Gidley is more likely to be on the bench.

Luke Lewis has been named in the starting line up, I think that is so Sheens can add more size to the bench.

cant believe he was changing the way the 1,6,7,9 play together..does this idiot not realise theyve won 4 origin series in a row with that and countless amount of tests..jennings, gidley should both drop off the bench..i was hoping cronk would be named on the bench but obviously sheens has to put gidley there the dud, and then say he needs backup for the halves and hooker? pretty sure cronk could do that better then the rest of the utilities..drop gidley and jennings and use lewis as the utility, with 4 forwards on the bench

If Gidley is in the team then the Pommies will stand a good chance at beating us. He's absolutely useless in rep games. He must somehow remind Tim Sheens of John Morris if he genuinely believes he was the best on the ground.
