So I didn't see the wickets I went for a kip. What happened with Marsh, Warner and Cowan. Pretty disappointed we lost 3 wickets this afternoon tbh. Still need to get to a 500+ lead for us to be safe IMO. Indians could pull a rabbit out of a hat in the run chase.

Warner did a Sehwag and lopped the ball back to Ashwin. Marsh got a good moving ball from Zaheer, some of the better players would've got caught trapped LBW but Marsh with his current form never had a chance. He was LBW and lucky to not get bowled.. Cowan got a straight ish one from Ashwin , hit him back leg and was plumb in front on the crease .

Lol. Everyone is hating on Hughes and myself, but I know talent when I see it. And he's got talent.

Are you a cricket australia talent scout? No? F*ck, get on the phone quick. How did Cricket Australia miss this ffs. Bunniesman knows talent when he sees it. Get on the phone now and right this travesty!

*ahem*
on a less hilarious note. Talent shmalent. All talent is is potential. And I think we've all heard the joke about the difference between potential and reality. If Hughes is good enough and committed enough, he'll be back, he has plenty of time.

 Outstanding???? He was a flat track Bully who never could make double figures at the Gabba against QLD in the Shield. And for most of his career he was left out for superior players. Waugh x2, Ponting,Martyn, Lehman,Clarke,Katich etc etc. You want unlucky give Micheal Bevan a call. Ruled the Sheild on all decks against everyone for 15 years and was discarded at around the age of 26 or 7. They had him batting at 7 for a time so they keep Taylor in the team.

He was a hell of a lot better than Marsh. At least Hodge made a double century at Test level. Marsh is lucky to make 2, let alone two hundred.

Apparently Hodge was not the most liked player in the Australian dressing room, he and the captain in particular were not great mates.

I was going to ask someone about this, as I have heard this mentioned before. I don't know if this is true or not, but apparently his attitude played a big part in him being disliked by both players and national selectors (i.e. arrogant, always played for himself and not for the team etc.)

Despite Warner's struggle he still managed 28, just shows he does put the bad balls away, if he can sort of the early spin issue he'll be back on track. What we need is Cowan to step up when Warner fails and our number 3 to average more than 3!

Thats like telling someone you are a better halfback than Daniel Mortimer and being proud of it. Marsh is Poo no if or buts about it. Doesn't make Podge any less of a whinging flat track Bully.

Kohli accuses Hilfenhaus of offensive sledge..

Posted January 26, 2012 20:58:11

Fiery young Indian batsman Virat Kohli scored his maiden Test century before attacking Australia's crowds as abusive drunks and accusing bowler Ben Hilfenhaus of making offensive remarks.

Kohli hit a memorable 116 on the third day of the fourth Test at Adelaide Oval after the Australian bowlers led by Peter Siddle ripped through the rest of the Indian top order.

Kohli had a nervous moment on 99 when he was almost run out and the 23-year-old batsman took offence at a comment from Hilfenhaus in the field at this time.

"Hilfenhaus said something to me which was totally unnecessary, out of the blue," Kohli said.

"He said something which I can't say obviously in a press conference.

"I gave it back to him saying 'you didn't even have anything to do with that. Why did you do that?'.

"Ishant (number 10 batsman Ishant Sharma) and me both came together and starting saying stuff to them.

"I usually play my cricket like that. I like to give it back.

"They sledge when they get frustrated.

"Constantly, they were sledging the players so they could spoil our concentration.

"To give it back verbally and then score a hundred is even better.

"We don't go out there to take any kind of stuff from anyone."

Kohli, who was fined for flipping a one-finger gesture at abusive fans at the Sydney Test earlier this month, hit out at Australia's crowds.

"In Sydney, they were after me because I wasn't scoring and today they were ... because I got a hundred," he said.

"It is really, really frustrating at times because they say stuff which shouldn't be said on a cricket field.

"We go out there to play, not to get abused like that.

"If they've come here to enjoy the game, they should do that and not get drunk and abuse players."

Siddle says he admired Kohli as a tough competitor who does not mind giving a bit of "chirp" and denied there was anything malicious in Australia's sledging.

"The bloke batted well to get to 99 and looked to really run himself out just ridiculously," Siddle said.

"That's what we were trying to tell him. You don't want to do that to yourself when you're on 99 and just throw your wicket away.

"I like coming up against him. It's a nice challenge to have out there and that's what people want to watch in Test cricket."

 The Indians still don't know how to sledge..

Now it's the crowds fault they can't play..

I think at least 550 ahead. Quick wickets fell in the last session yesterday and I think will again today, bat til about 30-40mins before tea. Give us 4 sessions and a bit to bowl them out on a deteriorating pitch.

Nah, get em in around lunch and we're a big show of having the weekend off. 500 is more than enough. No one has successfully chased more than 250 at Adelaide since 1902.

Alien, the reason to bat again was simply to not break the bowlers. Despite knocking them over we were tiring as you would bowling in 38 degree heat on a f**king road. We were never going to enforce the follow on in great batting conditions like this. To do so is just madness that leads to injured bowlers or worse Kolkata 2001 scenarios. The bowlers will be having a nice easy morning today and probably not doing any serious warm up until the lunch break in order to get plenty of rest and recuperation into them.
