Anyone have a line up? Is Usi finally going to get a game or is his Gatorade mixing skills to valuable to lose on the bench?

It's just disgusting that such a show pony could captain the baggy greens. This is the lowest point right here.

The bottom of the barrel.

It's only up from here.

Twatto isn't fit to lick the shit from Border's arsehole.

For mine, Allan Border stands head and shoulders above at least 400 other Test cricketers and pisses on them all from a great bloody height.

How Twatto - Australian Test Captain could even be contemplated, let alone be a reality, well, my blood curdles, my stomach churns with disgust.

Liking all the love in here for AB, he carried a terrible side for at least 3 or 4 years and pretty much dragged us up from the gutter on his back. He played pretty much his whole career against the Windies when their bowlers where head and shoulders above everything else we have ever seen and i think he averaged over 40 against them. Which is quite a feet, if he played now he would average over 60 IMO. Most underated Australian cricketer of the last 50 years.

I'm not Watson's biggest fan but seriously, who else would have captain the team other than Clarke? You must be kidding me if you think Haddin is a better candidate.

Watson isn't the terribly shocking player everybody makes out to be. Annoying and self important yes, overrated yes, but he's still better than half the monkeys in this squad. This is the worst Australian team in about 30 years.

Lets cool some of the blind hate.

a tick under 40 against them, but about 53 in the Windies

You would be captain Grumpy if you were the only one with gumption bobbing in a cistern with 10 other turds.

Allan Border and Bob Simpson made Cricket in Australia great again.

For mine...it's time to bring in his hard nosed authority, a la Simpson, a kick the living latte out of these Gatorade sipping, pampered Brut wannabes.

That series in 83 when he scored over 500 runs in the 70's was as good as any player you will ever see against quality pace bowling. Look at what they did to a very fine player in Kim Hughes they just destroyed him while AB just kept on ticking.

Agree with Hatter we need a real hard arse to kick these softies into gear. A mentally soft, pampered, selfish self absorbed Twat like Watson captain FMD i'd give the captaincy to the Vegetard ahead of this prick.

The thing AB as well is that he would have been batting on cow paddocks, using a toothpick of a bat, open faced helmet and other inferior equipment to that used these days....I reckon he'd average around 70 in the modern day...

Agree with all that except the 70 bit... in my opinion he's easily a better bat that Steve Waugh or Michael Clarke if you're after a #5 or 6...

Of the Australian bats I've watched, he'd be the one I'd back to score runs in any conditions against any attack... so I guess I am saying he's the pick of them all... dunno Chappell was special, and so was Ponting... but whether it be spin on a turning wicket or extreme pace, I think Border is the one you'd bank on

AB scored runs everywhere, Pakistan against Quadir, India on there decks which are nothing like what they play on now. Was great on 4 tours of England and as JJ said had a fine record in the Windies when they were at their zenith. He got runs on dustbowls, green seamers and everything in between. Add in the fact for a fair chunk of his career he was the difference between us winning and losing and you have to see what a great player he was.

Beside Bradman i would argue he has done more for Australian cricket than anybody bar maybe Ritchie Benaud.

Watson has gone from Vice Captain to dumped to test Captain in a few weeks.

f**king circus.

Watch the prick open the batting and run out all 10 of his team mates.

Should've left Watson out, Haddin to captain.

But gee it is a bit of a circus. With Watson in he has to skipper I suppose, what's the point of a vice-captain otherwise?
