I'd be surprised if Twatto and Mr Ed got along. Twatto has been gunning for Cowan's spot for months and now Mr Ed has gone dobbing to the teacher.

I'd lol if Twatto promoted himself to opener if he's named captain.

they are not gonna come out and publically admit who they dont like

they get asked controversial questions from the media and give them lip service in return or rehearsed responses

Cowan apparently had a whinge about team mates to Pup and Mickey according to SMH.

He does strike me as an ass licker who will do everything except bat well to keep his place in the team, even if it means stepping on/running out team mates.
Maybe the team mates could pull their fingers out and do what is required to stay in the side rather than slip into complacency on very little achievement.

And Cowans performance might not be stellar but they've been better than tWatto

Don't believe everything you read. We hear all these rumours about this player and that player arguing with Clarke but seeing as there is never any substance to these we shouldn't waste our time believing them. Hussey has laughed away the ones about him and Clarke.

Simon Katich never laughed them away... and clearly his test career ended earlier than it should have...

Nor Damien Martyn, and given he's a selector what other explanation can there be for the absence of the person who looks for all money like the best spin option in Australia?

What choice does Hussry have but to laugh them away? Anyone outside the team just comes off as bitter and resentful

I don't give two f***s about personality clashes.

Everyone supposedly hated Bradman at the time, but they played as a team still.

And Clarke actually had been scoring most of the runs for the past 12 months.

The other 10 are picked to either bat OR bowl, or both.

Man up FFS. You're playing Test cricket for Australia.

The dismal 3rd innings performance in 3rd test was embarrassing. Any chance of a draw or even a possible win went out the window with piss poor batting.

For Twatto to get the captaincy is indicative of the shitness of Australian test cricket at the moment. I'd have given it to Siddle. Fk the lot of them.

f**k me, imagine if we win this match with Watson as captain.

We won't hear the end of it from Watson fan boys, a dead set nightmare!

Would rather Warner as captain mainly due to the fact that he atleast deserves his spot in the team.

I doubt if Jadeja will go down as a great spinner but he's a far better bowler than the likes of Tahir, McGain or Doherty.

Or f**king Big Show.

McGain was at least a decent bowler at Shield level, just got totally mauled by the Saffers in his only test. Doherty on the other hand is not even a decent Shield bowler.

Maybe he was one player with the smarts to know there was a problem and it needed to be fixed?

Looks like Clarkie is out according to the reports.

Not looking forward to Watson talking all about himself for the next 5 days, assuming it lasts that long

Captain Twatto. He'll go down in the pantheon of great Australian captains: Graham Yallop, Kim Hughes, Cameron White.

Hughes and Yallop were at least pretty good players...

If it happens, Watson's the worst Australian test captain (in terms of playing ability) that I can recall... there might have been an odd one who stood in for Border, althought that hard lkittle bastard probably never missed a test

Border captained 93 consecutive tests and played in 153 consecutive.

Behind Hadlee, pretty much my favourite player of all time... the hardest, toughest, little battler I can recall... but also from what I recall very much a good sport...

Not sure he gets quite the respect he deserves imo...

My three favourite cricketers: Border, Richards and Wasim.

Border was Steve Waugh without the all star cast around him. IMO, apart from Richie Benuad he's probably the most respected cricketer in Australia.

And he should be... in a crisis nobody I'd rather have... Just so solid, and against attacks in all conditions with huge pressure on him because by and large the rest of Australia's lineups in those days were inconsistent... Guess he has an understanding of what the likes of Martin Crowe felt... pretty much the entire Aust innings and performance depended on AB

Funnily enough, add Hadlee to that list and you have mine!
