Watson definitely has a technical issue in that he plays from the crease around his front pad. He was culpably plumb to Flintoff within his first 5 runs in the first innings also.

I think the balance issue was to increase the run rate (for England). He did his job well.

We all now Hughes was dropped because of a perceived deficiency against the short ball (after three innings mind you and no chance to prove otherwise)
