See - all the facts are on the public record - in fact they took time to have the leading expert in Australia to give the facts of his medical history on national television just to stop wankers such as yourself from being able to villify him - but your choice is to misrepresent him and to demonise the mentally ill.People thinking he's an arrogant wanker who cashed in on his drug problem by writing a book and was only actually sorry that he got caught is irrelevant to his mental health.

Basically, you have made a consious choice to do something civilised people consider to be pretty repulsive.
Take a minute to think about your motivation.

He suffers from a classic mental illness.Personally I fall in the category of "this was years in the making".
Of course, I'm not talking about the movie or the book but what lead to the inevitable publication.
I'm not the lone ranger either.
And to be honest;
could be thrown back at you in spades.
He suffers from a classic mental illness.
If you don't know this it is because you refuse to listen to the evidence that has been presented as clearly as is possible.
If you continue to villify him it is because you choose to take pot shots at people with a mental illness.
That is what you do and who you are - own it.

LOL at the "rugby league" fans here. If this was a fumbleball forum and the player was an AFL "great" they'd be drooling over the potential "worldwide" publicity for their game.
But it's rugby league, let's just bag off a true "great" of our game. We won't watch it but I bet if the Hollywood spin doctors blockbusted a heart wrenching, spine tingling, based on a true story of NFL, NBL, baseball, ice hockey fallen hero Chuck McGutz you'd be straight down the multiplex soaking it up.
Club fans, not rugby league fans.
I say, go for it. Like Rusty or hate hime, he's good for Rugby League. Joey's story on the big screen sold as a great storyline with a rugby league background can only be good.
Dude, any Johns film would be made on a budget less than i earn in a week (which is not alot!), it will have woeful writing, terrible acting, cringe worthy lines and its about a druggo who blames a convenient medical diagnosis for his drug habitsLOL at the "rugby league" fans here. The only people 'entitled' to question the diagnois and prognosis given on national television by Australia's leading expert in bipolar disorder would be other professors of psychiatry with 20 or 30 years worth of training and experience at the highest level - and you could count them on a butchers fingers.bullsh*t Roopy.
People are well entitled to be at the very least cynical, in the timing of the whole "outing".
I could go on but it's dragging up a "corpse" best left buried until such times as a very detailed exhumation takes place.
You really are laying this site open to potential legal action by continually making false and defamatory claims.druggo who blames a convenient medical diagnosis for his drug habits
He admitted to occasional use during the off season and twice during the season over his career. All i've stated is the diagnosis seemed awful convenient to me. Thats a personal opinion on the situation.
the man got pinched for E's. He freely admitted to using a number of times through out his playing days He's a druggo in my books. Also a personal opinion
He admitted to occasional use during the off season and twice during the season over his career.
That is less drug use than the average for his age group.
You imply, and actually state at times that he was drug affected throughout his career - which is completely false - and you know it to be false.
As to his mental illness being 'convienient' - as someone who has worked in mental health for over 30 years I can tell you that I never connected the dots to conclude he was bipolar before it was made public, because very few bipolar sufferers lead a successful life, and i never had a high opinion of him as a man, but after the situation became public knowledge it all fits perfectly together. Every 'character flaw' seen in the man over the years is completely consistant with a person suffering bipolar disorder - and i've seen hundreds over the years - just none who were the best in the world at what they do.
I wonder if your obvious ignorance protects you?He used throughout his career, weather it be during the off season or not. He freely admits to that, so my claim that he was a user throughout his playing days is 100% accurate. By his own account. You dont become another profession in the off season, he was a professional footballer all year round and he was using during this period of time.
The man is a druggie. End of story.
The fact he came out with this story after being arrested, after claiming someone slipped the pills in his pocket, and then even held up the release of his book so he could squeze in confessions of drug use and bi-polar disorder, certainly gives people plenty of reason to skeptical. Sounds like a open and shut case of someone cashing in and hiding behind a medical problem to me
Though i do find it interesting. You're a knights fan, living in newcaslte. No doubts if you watched the local news and read the local paper, you pretty much knew when Andrew Johns took a dump. Yet even with 30 years experience in the mental illness area, you never once connected the dots... Interesting indeed.
But i will agree with you on one point, i never had a high opinion on his as a man either. Absolute wanker of the highest order, and tbh if there is truth to the rumours, a complete disgrace to himself, your club, and this game... but i guess they are only rumours, right?
No - but i never met other famous bipolar sufferers like Winston Churchill, Mike Tyson, George Best etc etc etc either.roopy as a mental health nurse myself I have to say I've never met anyone with bipolar in 22 years of work in the field that could perform the way he did under such pressure over a full season length of time. Have you?
