Now if it had the word 'Bears' written across it and the team was based in another city - say gosford - you'd love it.

It's great. Add's colour and excitment. Just like the city it represents.

Just another typical modern style RL jersey. I thought they could of come up with something new. But at least it beats the grey and black that the original Gold Coast Giants wore in 1988

the dolphins may be securing overseas ties with the miami dolphins possibly, similar to the brisbane broncos and denver. the jersey is very much super league in appearance, the colour scheme is more miami hurricanes in my opinion (college football). the visit to the nfl headquarters from david gallop could of been more than just 'checking out how things are done' ?
the jersey doesnt look anything like the miami dolphins jersey or the miama hurricanes jersey! what is it with you blind people? the 'canes jersey is almost entirely orange with a little bit of teal/cyan, the dolphins jersey is a shade of teal/cyan that almost looks green with a TINY bit of orange on the sleeves. the miami "dolphin" looks nothing like the gold coast "dolphin". similar colours, entirely different scheme.

The gold coast has had a couple of cracks at the nrl and yet to be succesfull. I am still yet to see anything that will change my opinion that this time will be any different. The same people are still in charge (the rl board), when the were last in the comp.

Well of course it doesnt, theres always a difference in the gridiron and Rugby League jersies. This one doesnt have numbers on the front of them.

They actually had one crack, and that team was killed by the ARL it didn't die.

The Giants/Seagulls weren't based on the Gold Coast. They were based at Tweed Heads.

YES~! Finally I've heard someone say the ARL actually killed something. Surely you mean super league there razor? ;-) no? You mean the ARL weren't perfect? I hope some people take notice!

No the ARL did.

This was made perfectly clear when it was done up.

As part of the SL-ARL merger they cut down teams. News Ltd said we'll kill Adelaide if you kill the Gold Coast.

The ARL didn't have a choice because of their contract with News Ltd

You actually forget that?

That is actually pretty ugly.

Knowing the ESL about half a dozen teams have prob had that jersey by now, they change wildly every year! #-o

Hope they get in though!!

Bears up too!

Will the Gold Coast be recruiting Miami's star quarterback?
He wouldn't be able to tell the difference if he ended up playing in the NRL one day - same name, colours, etc.

one crack 1996-1999 before they were killed off because of a deal done by the broncos the NRL, arl and news limited.

The bears had 80 years to do something and all they could do was go broke and jump in to bed with manly

well the bears were pretty successful in the 90s... more successful than your crap gold coast teams

and if u havent noticed.. its between the central coast and the gold coast... not the bears and the dolphins u fool

finally, if it was between the bears and the dolphins... ud lose straight away because sport is sport which is bigger than business... and we've got 80 years of history behind us...

get stuffed!
