For me he needs to stop hitting the line and spinning. At least every second of third hitup it would be nice to see him just try and hit the line as hard as possible, without turning his back.

I was thinking the same thing. He's doing the hit and spin to try and be harder to tackle. But if he actually ran with some venom, like Ellis did, he would be 100 times more effective. He could add the spin then and it would be devastating.

A lot of the time when he gets the ball he looks to me like he's more interested in passing before he hits the defensive line, then he is in making metres.

His tackling isn't overly dominating either. If he could do those tackles to the midsection like Gibbs does on a regular basis, he would be a lot more effective.

I just look at Blair when defending and he looks to have a poor technique. Is that just me?

More often than not he attempts to tackle a player hitting it up, by standing flat footed and grabbing them by their shoulders, which just makes him easier for the attacker to push him away. If he could go around the waist and push upwards with a tackle, he'd be far more effective and would require less help defensively.

Why doesn't he work on offloading the ball.? Can't remember one from him.
He just stutters and spins into the tackle. Useless shit.

Just another forward made to look like an absolute gun by the Storm structure and discipline.

This is why I was surprised at how much we paid for him. All forwards at the Storm look incredible when running off Smith/Cronk/Widdop but they really aren't that great.

I have a feeling that Blair is going to pull his socks up and put in a much better effort this year but if he doesn't then I am all for giving him the boot. If Miller doesn't work out we should spend the money on a good Number 7 (but I have a feeling that Miller will do fine) or properly fill the void left by Ellis!

Chris Lawrence has been quoted in today's Telegraph saying that Blair had been training the house down and is primed for a massive season. Ahhh wouldn't it be nice, I would love to eat my words in regards to Adam Blair !!! Do Tigers fans believe he still has it in him ?

Potter himself has also admitted he was impressed with Blair at training. What i did notice in the Roosters trial he looked hungry and agressive in defence for tiny patches then he wasnt sighted and in attack he seemed to playing like a centre except he was flat footed. If we are to have a forward running wide id save BMM for that job and use Blair to play in the middle .

Did I have one beer too many, or did he go alright tonight?

Seemed to have a bit more energy in his runs, and a bit more mongrel in his defence, particularly in the first half.

Nope definitely not hallucinating there. I thought he was better than solid tonight, had a few good runs and some nice touches/offloads. Definitely made an impact...lets hope he can play like that more often :D

He was the only one actually making any real yards up the middle, Woods had a couple of runs but other than that we were going backwards.

Has been much better this year, probably helps that he knows his role.

Last year he was left back rower one week, right back rower next week, tight forward the week after and so on...sometimes he was all 3 in one game.

Can't excuse some of his piss poor efforts but he has been much better now he knows his role.

Blair and Moltzen both played well. Good to see. Moltzen really needs to run the ball back from fullback though. I can't believe how he constantly palms it off to the winger.

I really think it's in the game plan,Molzten passes to a winger who make a big charge, quick play the ball,Farah darts and Moltzen is alive if a break occurs. Just my theory, anyway what difference dose it really matter who hits the ball up,I think both Reddy and Koro have much more bulk to them so I would imagine they would be more effective

If that's the case then why have Ryan, brown, humble, tedesco or whoever else has played fullback in first grade the last few years pinned the ears back as soon as they get the ball?

It's purely moltzen, he is soft as f**k
