I don't mind the Siddle selection. Firstly he has a decent average, secondly he is experienced and thirdly Adelaide is a road and if he bowls himself out Hazelwood will get a shot at the Gabba which is the most friendly deck for the series for quicks.

Agreed. In light of recent events it won't hurt to have another experienced player on the pitch. There was merit in picking either player.

Hardly. Not as if DRS is perfect. I am far from convinced that DRS has made the game better. Just get on with it, bad decisions even themselves out.

Agree that Siddle should be playing ahead of Hazlewood, I think Hazlewood is very raw and I wasn't overly impressed with his bowling in the ODI's.. sure he got wickets but I didn't feel that was because he was exceptional, it had more to do with the SA batters choosing to play the wrong shots

In regards to DRS, if they don't trust the hawkeye view in regards to estimating what the ball will do if it was to follow on with it's path then fair enough but there is no reason to not allow hotspot which in itself is such a game changing piece of technology, they shouldn't even be given the option.. either everyone uses it or noone uses it

f**k I hate Indians when it comes to Cricket

Hottest day today for the test around 30c in the afternoon

Tomorrow some showers expected, should get a lot of play in though

rest of the test is fine mid 20s or so

Hope we win the toss and bat :)

I am so glad test cricket is back. I still have Phil Hughes on my mind and still find it surreal he isn't around, but for me it is getting easier day by day. Unfortunately for his family and close friends it will be still very raw and something they will never get over, just be able to cope better as time goes by. National anthem today will be sad, and I understand they are planning some tributes, probably during the lunch and teas breaks. Emotional day coming up. We can turn to fodder or we can belt the cripe out of the opposition. I hope its the later

I hate India more than the English. Hope Clarkey and the lads turn it on for Hughesy and they tear them apart.

Channel the emotion.

IS Grandstand not covering the cricket anymore?

Does all legal live coverage (video/radio) only exist via a subscription to Cricket Australia's website?

Hope the day goes well. I suspect Aust will start very well

India has a very inexperienced bowling attack, wickets will be their issue.

Siddle should play, he's ok in Aust. And no DRS is fine too, some seriously f**ked up decisions have been made with it....

I know for the Ashes the radio coverage was free via Cricket Australia as I streamed it at work.

Grandstand digital doesn't have the rights any more I don't think, you need a wireless to listen to it via the ABC.

I did the same for the Ashes too.

But it seems that there is no free streaming from CA anymore.

There's no analogue radio in my office either.

Man this is entirely f**ked.

Never mind, my phone had a f**k up and won't download anything from Play store.
