Qlderps showing yet again why their ridiculous one-eyedness in the face of any situation is an embarrassment to the sport. MCG minute silence and now this. If Origin is the cause of this it highlights how damaging it actually is to the game when you stand back and look at it in its entirety.

Ah, the cranky old man with his schizophrenic posts again.

f**king QLDERPSS!!

But then in the same breath, they should dump Origin!!

Careful ol' mate, you'll overdosed on those f**kwit tablets, no-one knew anyone was crippled in the short time Smith was trying to keep McLean from being sent off, which could have happened the more the hysteria grew. It's a captain's duty to press for anything that keeps his team intact, only a dope would imagine he'd carry on if he knew the gravity of a situation less likely than winning Lotto

It's clear reading comments in most media that Smith has the backing of fair minded people, the wankers that speak loudest are those with an agenda, even if it is only they wanted Smith poached by their team . . . in Dragon's colours you'd easily forgive his affront

A player was on the ground screaming he couldn't feel his arms and legs .
He couldn't move.
It was obvious what had happened.
This was not a collar bone or a busted knee..it was a spinal injury.
Is Smith that stupid he could not see what everyone else could see?

merkin act.

I would be disgusted if the captain of my club carried on like that pops.

I'm sure whinging about a penalty with about 15 seconds left until half-time is more important than the welfare of a bloke being carried off by about 10 trainers.

Aren't you just reinforcing the point, that the only reason that it's an issue is because of the colour of the jersey he wears?

If any player knew that another had just been made a paraplegic, and didn't care about it, then yes I think everyone would be upset.

I'm trying to say is try judging the act alone. Queenslanders are trying to defend smiths actions purely because he is a Queenslander. I'd have the same reaction if cam smith done it, paul gallen done it or even if someone like adam Reynolds, a favourite player from my favourite club who has had a controversy free career so far done it.

I can understand cam smith initially arguing with the refs in the early moments of the incident, trying to save his team a penalty and McLean from getting reported. But when alex had been lying screaming there for ten minutes, being attended to by doctors by both sides, as the other 32 players and 2 refs were in shock at what was obviously a serious injury, to still try argue the penalty and say that Alex brought it upon himself was just despicable. To fail to apologize to anyone about his behavior just adds to the insult

To say, its just because he is a Queenslander, is a classic strawman. Its literally 8 seconds of discussion in the heat of the moment. The reaction is way over the top.

Going forward I would like to see no-one approach the referee to whinge when a player is down. I hate when Smith, Gallen, Ennis and Thurston do this, but it seems to be accepted at the moment.

All this shit about Melbourne not being able to contact McKinnon in the days following the event. No shit! I'm reasonably sure McKinnon and his family had more on their minds than appeasing the emotions of the Melbourne Storm.

If Smith wanted to contact McKinnon he could have. Easily. How hard would it be for the Australian captain to get his phone number? Jordan McLean managed to get it FFS.

As McKinnon said, it paints a pretty good picture of the bloke as a person..

Oh, surely this Moron4Life f*ckwit can be banned?

Explain why virtually every poster here backing smith is a qlder.

It's pretty clear why.

f**k McKinnon he's from NSW. Yay smith Queenslander!!!

f**king pathetic. But predictable.

McLean's was 4 months later.

I would assume that after attempts to contact him, that he (and the Storm) got the impression that he didn't want to speak to them. Which would be reasonable. Whether this is true or not, I have no idea

And I agree with your last point 100%

It's got nothing to do with him being a Queenslander.! I'm judging him purely on his actions, and they were despicable.

You can't argue that it was in the heat of the moment. The game had been stopped for a number of minutes while the doctors tried to stabilize Alex after what had obviously been a serious injury. Cam had a number of minutes to cool down and assess the situation and he still came up with 'ref you can't penalize us, it was alex's fault, is just wrong.

even if it was Alex's fault surely any normal person wouldn't actually try to blame the poor bloke while he is being carried off in that state.

What sort of person does that?

Explain why everyone that is bagging him is a NSWelshman then?

And even prior to this incident, LU is just one big bag of Smith, Slater, Cronk and Thurston?

Is it because they are all grubs and nobody from NSW?

Look at the video and engage your brain you old fart.

Greg Alexander, Warren Smith and about 75% of LU.

Yep only smith Slater cronk and Thurston get bagged on here

Nsw players like Bird, gallen and Ennis don't get it
Kiwis like JWH or isaac Luke don't get it
Poms like Burgess brothers and graham are spared.

When bird, gallen, ennis, luke, Graham, JWH and the burgess brothers get bagged it's because they are 'grubs' and can do some shitty acts

But when we bag smith, slater and Thurston we are just picking on them because they are Queenslanders and we are jealous

You keep backing up my point.

To say "its only because they are " is 100% backing up what I was saying.

How am I backing you up?
I'm saying all players should be judged on their actions
It's the complete opposite of what you are saying, that we are only picking on cam because he is a Queenslander. I'm criticizing smith on this occasion purely because it was a merkin act from him.

There is no arguing that so they have turned in onto a QLD/media thing. "its the media" "yous just bag him cause he is from qld". Deflecting from the fact that once again Smith is caught out acting the grub.
