LOL @ Ron Jeremey

All the QB'S are little pussies who are scared to get touched
All the wide receivers and kick returners are skinny little twerps
All the defensive players are overweight blobs
All the running backs are 5'10 and 5'11''. midgets

LOL @ NFL athletes

He would also play basketball, and quickly realise that he could make a lot of money playing basketball.... so he would play basketball.

i agree sort of with this, i still think loyalty is main thing, its rare for an athlete to change codes altogether, RL will soon die, as an average NFL WR or TE probably earns more then an NRL clubs yearly salary cap lol

Bit off topic but have any off you ever wondered what someone like Lebron James could do if he had an NRL background? 6-8 250 pounds and would easily be the best athlete in the NRL, dude can jump out of the arena and has great mobility. To go with all of that he is a amazing passer so he would probably have a great offload especially given the size of his hands. The possibilities are endless...
Now if only we could convince Lebron to give up his salary that is more than 3 entire NRL teams, and then convince him to come over for a while, we'd get to see. IMO there's never been an athlete with his combination of size, speed, strength and hands, he'd be a star in any sport he tried.

i agree somehwhat, however ive seen better, Deion sanders comes to mind, prime was simply the perfect athlete.

Atm i think an Adrian Peterson, Vick, Moss would dominate any sport ( not so much Moss now with his age)

1 player earns more then an NRL club.

Just because someone earns more money doesn't mean there a better athlete you genius

NFL punters earn more then most NRL players and they just stand there kicking a ball:lol:

QB'S just stand there(getting protected) and throw a ball:lol:

American Football players have been earning more money than League players since the 1960's, why is Rugby League suddenly going to die because of someone earning more money in the US?

Tiger Woods and Cristano Ronaldo earn more than most NFL players, does that mean NFL will soon die also?

The difference is, your comparing a sport for whom a quality player earns $200,000 a year, to sports where they earn millions, why would anyone play RL when they can earn millions playing even golf?

Until RL starts paying players more it will continue to go backwards, we're seeing it more and more with players leaving to play other sports for the money, it will continue.

The NFL is one of the biggest sporting competitions in the world ( and good reason) probably the biggest, why would anyone leave, its not like they're earning what league players get?

NFL has a Euro league as an option.

LMFAO!!!!

The Euro Bowl COLLAPSED in 2007 after the NFL was losing an average of US$32m a year and was forced to admit that they lied about the attendance figures. Five of the remaining six teams were based in Germany because much of the crowd were AMERICAN SERVICEMEN!

Padball in Europe is a JOKE. The single biggest and most successful club in Germany (the Berlin Adler) is AMATEUR except for a handful of ring-ins who earn the princely sum of US$50 a week:

"The Sportpark occasionally hosts soccer but is best known as the home of the Berlin Adler (adler is German for eagle), one of the most successful franchises in the history of the German Football League. On Sundays in summer and early fall 1,000 or so loyal Adler fans gather at the stadium to support their team. Public address announcer Roman Motzkus -- also the team's financial officer and public relations director -- keeps the crowd engaged with cheers in German and English. Near the concession stands, which serve up grilled sausage and steak sandwiches, female cheerleaders sell German baked goods to raise money for uniforms and travel.

In the GFL, U.S. players are paid for playing in 12 league games, plus two games in a Europe-wide competition. They're also provided with a car, accommodations, meals and health insurance for the season. The cash is not enough live on -- as little as 100 euros per month (around $146 dollars) in some cases -- so the majority of U.S. players in Germany and elsewhere in Europe return to the States after the season to pursue other playing opportunities or to work outside of football.

European players have a much different experience from their American teammates. Most make no money -- in fact, some teams charge dues to Europeans to be part of the club. ''There are European guys on my team with jobs outside of football and families," says Chris Calaycay, a Hawaii native who coaches the Vienna Vikings in Austria. "Football is something they do in their spare time. This is as amateur as you can get."
