An Outrage: Hindmarsh misses 25 man squad

Mason's omission is obviously not a form based decision .There are more serious things at play otherwise Mason, being an incumbent and also being in good form would be in the side.

I'll just add that if Glenn Morrison & Nathan Hindmarsh don't at the very least make the preliminary squad for NSW Origin then the selectors are really having a lend of us.

How can there be a set 25 man squad brought up to 26 and still not have Hindmarsh in the team is beyond me.

It's not real. Here are my reasons for thinking it isn't:

1. As was mentioned, no Mason. Although this could be because of the recent allegations...

2. Where is Sherwin (I don't think he's that good, but the selectors obviously rate him - he was Joey's back-up in last year's SoO)? I can understand Gower and Kimmorley on form, but why not have a young talent who obviously is highly regarded?

3. After one game they select Tate? And they do not include players like De Vere or so?

It doesn't seem right. Or they aren't taking it too seriously.

Im not sure if the Oz selectors saw Hindmarsh's arm injury as legite or an excuse not to tour last year. :idea:

If they saw it as an excuse then maybe this is why they have overlooked him again!!

Yeah this is a disgrace. Like I always say it is just "Jobs for the boys". All the favourites are there. No Hindmarsh is rubbish, especially when you see Michael Crocker probably got his spot. Those 2 players arn't in the same planet in terms of ability. Scott Hill is rubbish and has been for years. Flannery is interesting. I like him and think he is a fantastic utility player, I never thought they would pick a bench player though. Civonaceva has done nothing for a long time and there are plenty of props better than him running around.

Who are the selectors? Does anyone know. I know Bob McCarthy used to be one.

I was just thinking.I suppose ots of you saw the Hindmarsh brothers on the footy show last night.I thought they seemed like such nice ,unaffected ,country boys At the moment there is such alot around about less than perfect role models for the kids in Rugby League.I say these two are a wonderful exception to that

Everyone should just relax!!! These players are not certainties. The selectors have said that all players are still in the running as the game is 3 weeks away. They are just being loyal to the guys that made the effort to go on the tour and win when everyone thought they would get hammered by the Poms. Frankly, I don't have a problem with that. Most of you say it is impossible to pick a bloke after only 3 comp games but it is just as hard to drop one after the same amount of time. If BS had listened to you lot he would have dropped the whole side after the dogs game and god knows where we would be. Have some patience people!!!

yes i agree, while he should have been there, it is good for us, less chance of players getting injured...
