So he must have come out criticizing those two coaches in the press as well, no?

To be fair he wasn’t as involved in the media as he is now.

He certainly criticised the roosters for not backing him and at the Dragons he felt he was unfairly treated

what do you know, seggy comes out and says Griffin had problems with many players including himself. the proof is in the pudding
Like this bit:

"Former Panther Jamie Soward likened working with Griffin to “going to school”, claiming he was unable to “separate footy from off-the-field stuff and vice versa” and that his game plans were “boring”.

It’s understood Segeyaro’s Sharks teammate, Matt Moylan, also left the foot of the mountains because he could no longer stand being coached by Griffin."

I saw this vid on NRL.com.au...Soward was as scathing as a player scorned could be.

I must have listened, watched or read into too much of the interview with Anthony Griffin because I just thought he conducted himself with great dignity.

I know there were issues but at the end of the day the guy coached us to two semi finals appearances and would have coached us to a third had he not been sacked.

The narrative from our club in the last 36 hours has basically trashed the reputation of Anthony Griffin all of which may be true.

There won't be many on here prepared to acknowledge the dignity in which Anthony Griffin conducted himself but at the end of the day that is a shame regardless of whether you agreed with his sacking or not.

It's also weird how Moylan didn't have any off-field issues until he played under Hook, and then suddenly this year he seems to have cleaned up his act. As a keen student of coincidence, martielang should look into that.

Also, Hannant, is one of these bad boys as well?

Ummm he was punted by Griffin as well yeh?

So thus far every player that has spoken out about him has motive.

And the coach in particular? Said he didn't get on with them?

A current player critiquing a current coach has never gone down well. I’d put that down to wanting another gig.

A former player laying shit is more likely.

Soward has always been a whinger.

He was such a good guy they made him captain at 25.

A lot was said about Moylan by the club from the time it blew up, he never spoke out or critisced the club in return from memory. He still hasn’t when other former players are. He probably copped a lot at that game at penrith as well and the worst thing he did was lob a footy, at least that I saw on tv.

He was respectful and did conduct himself with dignity. Lied about fixing the club was honest about the issues with Gus and Moylan.

I'm worried about what if he was honest enough about Gus and some of the stuff with Gus being the overbearing dictator.

Also spoke very highly about the club on The Marty Johns show a few weeks ago

Griffin did conduct himself well.

I was just calling out things that didn't sound right, like the lower grades being a mess - completely ignoring the 2 Holden Cup premierships in 2013 and 2015, with both of those squads making up a large component of our current NRL squad.
