Wouldn’t say there’s anything glowing in that assessment, he also wasn’t writing for the St George herald at that point.

I have no issue with Sowie writing what he did, but let’s be real here, Sowie + Gus are buddies, that article comes out after the decision was apparently already made & 4 days before he was officially fired.

Maybe I’m looking for holes but to me that seems very unlikely it was pure a coincedence.

I must have listened, watched or read into too much of the interview with Anthony Griffin because I just thought he conducted himself with great dignity.

I know there were issues but at the end of the day the guy coached us to two semi finals appearances and would have coached us to a third had he not been sacked.

The narrative from our club in the last 36 hours has basically trashed the reputation of Anthony Griffin all of which may be true.

There won't be many on here prepared to acknowledge the dignity in which Anthony Griffin conducted himself but at the end of the day that is a shame regardless of whether you agreed with his sacking or not.

He handled himself with dignity. But I got the impression that the Fox mob wanted him to rip into Gould as per appearance money on this show. But unfortunately for Fox,Griffin couldn't bring himself to be too critical of anyone at Penrith. At the end of the interview,he emphatically stated that he wished the best for the Panthers,the coaching team,and for the players. And he added he hoped we win the shield.

There was another coach before Fitler that year, Fitler took over halfway through. The year before that was sticky’s last year there. It was a rough time for the roosters.

No doubt he used Ciraldo to manipulate the situation & destabilise the coach & the club but let’s just ignore that & scream bloody murder about the time Griffin went to the dressing sheds 5 mins early when his team was losing by 30.

It might be hard to listen too but He made some very relevant & disturbing points.

He tied to paint himself in the best light.

He took pride in the fact only 6 players remained from his 2016 squad... as if the more players he replaced it somehow made us better.

Gus has never hidden the fact he wanted a coach who didnt try to coach shit out of players. His coaching philosophy has been known for a long time.

Hook refused to take it on board. Why would we want to be a develop club that develops robots and is constantly getting rid of yhem as they're experienced for the next group to develop.

There's no room to improve with Hook.
