Dymock and Morris to coach the Sharks in 2019.

Has the rugby league world gone mad? 3 consecutive finals series and Hook can't even get an interview.

They obviously plan to re-instate Flanagan for the 2020 season.

So it make sense they have gone with Dymock and Morris as the interim coaches. They can just continue the preseason plans and training schedules that are already in place for the remainder of the preseason, rather than a new head coach coming in this late and wanting to change everything.

Not if Greenberg has anything to do with it.

He's crap mate

Better crap than most. A floater to a kaplonk.

Already signed up to coach the Tahs attack next year mate. He is loyal & wouldn't turn his back on a contract ala Gus. He also proves the theory he is multi-sport genius.

Yes if only the rest of the rugby league world could see it that way.

It has gone mad. This off-season has been f**king crazy

But through all the madness the one constant is no NRL team is interested in Hook.

Only really quoting you to exemplify how popular I am on here.

On a serious note. They have a good month or so before they need a coach. No need to rush the pre-season would of already been sorted

We were down by 18 in both semis with a different coach. If it was as easy as the coach. Surely Gus and co would of fixed it. People over play a coach's influence. In a game day situation what can a coach do? It is up to the players to hold the ball and not give up dumb penalties
How are you suppose to fix habits that have been built over years in a few weeks? You do that kinda stuff in the preseason. Finals coaching is all about getting players up for games.

Look at the Roosters, they won the grand final because they were more physical, they wanted it more. There were other factors but it was all of the back of them running harder, getting off their line quicker and tackling harder.

I can't remember a year where there hasn't been an amazing comeback by us. A few that stick out

2000 v WT at home. Scored 24 in 20 mins

v Parra in 2011. We were down by 6 as the siren went. Won in extra time

2010. We came back to beat Knights.

Again in 2011 I think. Crazy comeback to beat Sharks at Sharkpark

Nathan's 1st win in FG. Comeback win at Brookie.

V Warriors last year. Remember being booed off and coming back to win.

Would you rather the team just drop their head when they fall behind or play for the full 80?

Sure there has been a heap more the last few years. In that time you can count on one hand the amount of times we have had a full strength team or weren't the youngest in the comp.

Aside from maybe Bellamy. No coach would of beaten Canberra in 2016 with Hardaker/Peachey centre pairing. Same too v Broncs in 2017. No Blake, Moylan. May did his ACL mid game. Busted Edwards and Wallace.

That is not too say we win the Comp if things go all our way but there is a lot that a coach can't control

Obviously we want to play the full 80... but a comeback win is not playing the full 80. Its playing the second half instead of the first.

We played maybe 3 or 4 good 80 minute performances in 2018. When we did a premiership looked possible. When Jimmy and Nathan both played well we especially looked good.

I agree with that but again. How many times did we have a full strength team on the field? How many times were we the younger then our opposition? NYC games were great for attacking footy but terrible for full 80 mins of focus. That is the thing with young guys.

Bellamy and maybe Robinson possibly do better with what we had. Aside from them coaches lack the smarts to affect games.

The rest are average coaches that need luck and the players to go well

I think there are more than two coaches who could’ve done better than hook last season. The guy refused to work with the refs ffs, he took the team on a holiday to the Gold Coast for a week before a 50 point flogging.
