The only difference between 2016 cleary and cleary now was the kicking game. He wasn't running more back then or creating more opportunities.

People need to get real in regards to Cleary. His strengths are his defensive abilities and his maturity at a young age. He has never played any differently than he has been this year besides having more variation in his kicking game when he first came into grade. 2016 cleary was not some dynamic ball runner or ball player, besides running the ball more often then most 7s he didn't even show flashes of that back then, it was all about his composure and maturity.

There is that one game against the warriors last year he took over, other than that he has always been second fiddle to someone in our team, be it Moylan or Maloney.

Cleary now with a better kicking game is all we really need. I'd have him take the line on a little more as well though because he seems to really trouble the defence as they know he can run and pass but he doesn't do it. He does the old stand and deliver a lot.

Perhaps. Our discipline is terrible and is now hurting us. Our starts to games are still an issue. Defensively we are showing serious signs of regression.

haha mate i struggle to put a sentence together on here let alone write that masterpiece.

I liked it but he got it wrong saying fans have been giving it to Griffin. All the talk I've seen across Facebook, Twitter, reddit and here has been of the roster. The media love to stick the boot into him though.

RCG is a big part of this IMO, he inspires the squad to go with him, you can look at many games earlier this season, when he comes back on, we instantly start lifting defensively and show that aggression.

Definitely one of my favourites.

Strawbs writes well.

Strawbs has expressed my feelings well about Hook and his coaching. He poses the question, why do the media (in particular) hound some coaches like Hook and almost promote disharmony with glee, whilst others are let off scott free BA and Sticky anyone ?

I think some get waylaid by Hooks queensland charm and lack of artiticulation too. Where as I've always seen Hook as an average coach, doing a good job (with staffs) through a shocking injury list.

Me I don't want to drink the 'koolaid' some drink regarding Hook, as I can remember and reflect well where the club has come from. Frankly I don't care whether the devil himself does part of the coaching, to me it's about the end result.
