Good point.
A journo who doesn't even get the basics right. Hooper himself would be my guess, he's at the forefront of this shite. The Panthers did not score four tries in the last 7 minutes as it says, it was the 7 minutes before that. There was in fact plenty of time to score a couple more had they been needed. This side might beat the comeback record of 26 before its finished. What do others make of this article.

Des would be OK. But only after Griffin serves out his contract and with no input into player contracts whatsoever. Having renewed the current coach less than 12 months ago, backflipping now would cost the club serious money. The NRL should penalise clubs who pay out their coaches mid-contract on a whim, because it weakens the clubs as a whole and wastes hard-earned grant money. It would also put a stop to this media speculation we're seeing, that makes the game look like Keystone cops.No to Barrett, Cartwright, Brennan, Hasler and so on.

What do others make of this article. I saw 100% footy last night, I'm not sure the writer (who is unnamed) is adding 3 and 3 and getting 15 ? or is the writer on the money here ?
On "League Life" on Foxsports 2,DT "journalist",Cooper "The Super Scooper" quoted that Christian Crichton scored the try at the death to nab a Panthers win at Henson Park V Newtown. It was actually Wayde Egan who scored the late winner with one of his trademark dummy half tries. That story cracks me up. Starts so certain than ends in Watch this space
Cooper and Rothschild were at their usual bullshit best in grubbing on the Panthers last night. We are now in the final rounds of the comp and Rothfield desperately needs Penrith to trip up being we have an easier run to the finals compared to his Sharkies.Haven’t even read if properly but anything published on news.com is always going to be highly sensationalised. There can be truth in it for sure but the writers always put a lot of opinion in their articles.
I don’t think Barrett is the answer and it’s hard to imagine Gus ‘opening up’ on any issues at the club unless he was doing it to send some kind of message to someone.
ALDI have dogshit sCOOPERs on sale during this week. There's a lot of "perhaps" and "maybe in that article plus I've found Hooper to be very unreliable. A few weeks after Penrith junior O'Sullivan re-signed with Roosters he said O'Sullivan was going to Broncos.
I’d rather keep Griffin.
Watching the show with Hooper now. Everything he says and I mean everything starts with Maybe or possibly and he references "outside noise". He's got nothing.
Surely no sane person would ever ditch a coach with a winning record, even if it is Griffin, who has his weaknesses and could be improved on, for f**king Trent Barrett. If Gould sanctions that, he has totally lost it.
Hmmmmm. That's interesting. I'm unsure. I'm on the fence at the moment.
He also said 9 times this year we have fielded the youngest side in the comp.
maybe he was too blame for the inexperience. I got from it he was waiting to see how it played out which is the responsible thing to do.
Many on here commented on lack of experience in the squad pre season. So Atleast he is realising that side of it too
He did highlight last night that these players have seemingly 'always done this' too.
So whether it's the players, the inexperience, coach or a mixture of all 3 who knows. I'm sure this is being worked on and outlined as we write and speak.
Barret won't happen.
The main thing that stands out to me is he isn't really putting it on the players. Normally you'd get cliches about discipline etc. Even when he mentioned the youngest team he threw in all the success of the club in general in contrast with the NRL team as if he expects more.
I hope my gut is off because a stable club is better.
I moved this to the appropriate thread so I wasn't taking away from the game discussion. @Aliceinwonderland @franklin2323

I wish that is true. It concerns me the rumour keeps coming up. Ch 7 ran with a few weeks ago.
