Although he ain't in the bottom tier of current coaches, he still has won jack shit. He should consider himself lucky he is at Cronulla as any other club would of given him the arse by now. Yep, we accept mediocrity.

Now here we are with a team carrying a mix of quality older players a couple of promising young guns off the back of a season where we fell one game short of a gf

Lets take ASADA out of it, and then you look at Flanno he came into the job towards end of 2010.

2011 we failed to make finals
2012-13 & 2015 we make finals
2014 Flanno was suspended we didnt make finals

So 3 out of 4 season we make the finals not a bad effort.

Throughout his time 2013 Sharks win NSW Cup
2015 we win both Ball & Matthews

All this time Flanno is head coach, so he is putting the right people around him to be a success, as a Sharks coach he has made finals 3 times, only John Lang as coach has made finals more.

The recruitment at club as improved every year Flanno has been here.
Now add to that we have for once upper management which know what they are doing, Flanno can just be a coach not worry about outside issues including purchasing equipment.

I have not been a Flanno supporter but overall his onfield record is better then a lot of options out there, and our future on the field is looking healthy and he can take a significant pat on the back for that

As much I am not a fan, he will have a great role somewhere after his life as Coach - he would make a kick ass Defence Minister, he has the knack to recruit anyone

Complacency isn't the issue here, nor is the three year extension which was made to give the club the appearances of internal stability during a crisis (I don't agree with it either, and I don't like Flanno as a coach ftr). But it's just odd to wish losses on your team in order to get the coach axed. I disagree with Flanno's decisions in the opening four rounds too, but what you saw the last two games was a well-drilled and capable side which has found its right make-up. If we found that make-up earlier, we'd probably be faring better, but this is a chance of going somewhere now.

Flanno may not be your favoured coach and everyone is scarred from boofhead's doping treatment, etc, but for as long as the team is performing and competing you can't go around wanting him gone. It's just f**kin dumb

Re sacking Flanno still to early in the season to tell, it all depends on how we go this season particularly at the business end of the comp:?

I cannot forgive the stain he put on this club and players who reputation is stained.
Due to his mis management, we got the spoon.
On the plus side, he does recruit well, and our young players do improve under him.
But over all I want him gone.
