ANZ Stadium - Scheduling clash Round 25

You are an idiot. There's things called contracts. The AFL picked the timeslot months ago. Channel 9 was stupid enough to not check beforehand for clashes when they picked the NRL schedule for that round a couple of weeks ago.

It's all about first in best dressed. And if it was upto to ANZ to decide on this clash I bet you wouldn't like the one they picked.

I think you'll find the AFL only revealed their final round schedule today.

Obviously when this happens u20s games will be moved. There will be guidelines for the maximum amount of footy allowed per weekend at ANZ/SFS and if a round ever approaches that they can just shift u20s to somewhere else.

Then what's the point going to the games? NYC gives paying fans something exclusive to the ground. Without that it's easy to say stuff it I will stay home

I'm an idiot? That's a bit rich coming from the village genius.

The afl released their schedule today, they have the opportunity to play the game on the Saturday but have forced a clash. Anz get a lot more out of rugby league than afl or any other sport for that matter, I know who could hurt the stadium more.

This will be one of the first tests of the new Bulldogs CEO, she understands RL so unless there is a massive payout to the Doggies to move, this will stay at ANZ and the Swans can f**k off

It depends on contracts. It's not about fighting or not fighting. It's about what is in black and white.

On the face of it from what I know so far I think the NRL game should be played on Friday, the AFL can be played on Saturday night. But we don't know what the contracts state, or if they're unclear we don't know who gets to make the final decision.

If the contracts says it is up to ANZ stadium to make a decision logic suggests they'd pick the AFL.

I can't see how there is even a debate TBH.

Dogs have 1 home. ANZ Stadium. We scheduled before the AFL did and are comitted.

Swans want to play this game here why?. f**k off.

.

no they didn't http://www.smh.com.au/afl/afl-news/...g-birds-wins-out-over-nrl-20130729-2qv2u.html

The league was planning to advise clubs of the final-round match fixture on Tuesday, but it is understood Sydney will host Hawthorn on Friday, August 30, giving both top-four sides the longest possible break leading into September.

This is despite the NRL fixture, which was released earlier this month, listing a Bulldogs-Panthers game to be played at the same venue that night, and tickets to that game being available for purchase.

Afl will win this. Swans v hawks likely to get 60k + where as dogs v penriff would be lucky to get 12k

Anz stadium would have a massive say on this due to it being a business. Any muppets on this forum thinking the dogs game will get a bigger crowd needs to give themselves a massive uppercut.

Fans need to realise anz stadium pays our clubs to play their, they need money to do so. So it would be stupid for them to turn down the chance of a 60k+ crowd for the afl.

The game has been scheduled at ANZ all year, it's only the timeslot that has been decided last minute.
