doesn't really look like it on the points table. the kiwi spine...is it really that good? Luke is past his best...is Foran that good??
For the last 10 years we sit on the table struggling for 8th spot ...say always between 8th and 14th. what next?

Luke definitely past his best. Agree on that.

Foran, and for that matter Johnson, can only do so much behind a pack that is getting monstered. As much as we'd like them to be, they aren't Jonathan Thurston or Cooper Cronk. They need at least parity to be able to keep us in games.

RTS, just an unfortunately bad game. Hopefully will never play that badly again. Maybe too much on his mind as captain?

I'd argue yes, we are better. Apart from this shocking second half, the last few games have shown some significant improvements in defence from the last couple of years. If we had Harris and Mannering defending in the second row and some more go forward from the middles we probably don't lose that game.

No better, but 10 games in to a new coach. Who outside Foran has basically the same setup as last year.
He gets his 3 years, but its going to be a long 3 years unless we get some decent forwards.

Luke is fat and slow and clearly on a cruisy couple of years into retirement.
Doesn't want to take any ownership, will have a good game if everyone else is.

Foran is world class but clearly not at full fitness right now.
He is smoked in the second halves since his comeback.

RTS had a horrific game, but is a great player. Shouldn't be our captain.

SJ is working very hard this year, but simply is not gelling with his outside men and not getting the go-forward he needs.

It's quite unbelievable we can't win games with a spine like that, and that has to come down to coaching.
We've had nothing but plodders since Ivan left.

I thought Foran had an excellent first half and didn't have much opportunity in the second, although he held strong on defence and that's one great way he contributes to a team even when attacking opportunities are not there. So for the Foran factor yes we are better than last year. But he's gone at end of year so where does that leave us?

No we're not better, but we will be once we sort out the real issue. Our pack.

Matulino, Hoffman, Lillyman, Sao, Gubb, Thompson, Vete

IF we can find replacements without leaving ourselves short then I doubt these guys will be here next year, half of them are already confirmed gone.

Finding replacements is the key.

This year is similar to last year so far. At the end of round 10 last year, we had 4 wins and we came off a lost to the Panthers in Christchurch of all places. This year, after round 10, its 4 wins also and we just come off a loss to the Panthers of all teams.

Despite the similarities, Foran and RTS have made a difference in their overall performances. Without them we probably would be in a worse postion. Tui would've probably been fullback and Ata would've been stand-off. Foran has brought into fruition what we imagined he would do to our left side attack. Just having RTS at the back gives the team a good vibe because we know what he can do in attack.

The Warriors crashed and burned in spectacular fashion in Sydney tonight.

And as the post-mortem began into the side's woeful - and record-breaking - 36-28 capitulation against the Penrith Panthers at Pepper Stadium, fans on this side of the Tasman unleashed a burning of another sort.

Two gutted Warriors fans have tonight posted a video on the Veitchy on Sport Facebook page featuring them dousing two replica Warriors jerseys with a flammable liquid and then setting them alight.

"From 28-6 ... you played like a pack of p*****," said one man in the video.

"... Burn baby, burn. Record loss, something to be proud of."

Warriors jerseys can cost up to $185.

The Warriors enjoyed a 28-6 lead at halftime with thousands of fans on social media talking up their team's hopes of winning their first match away in Australia for the 2017 season.

But then the inevitable Warriors collapse unleashed in the second half, with the hapless side leaking try after try after try to lose by eight points.

The latest loss from Stephen Kearney's side saw them give up what appeared to be an insurmountable 22-point lead.

But this is the Warriors we are talking about.

Warriors fans were also scathing on the club's official Facebook page, with fans labelling the result a "disgrace", "rubbish" and "gutless".

If anything, with the stars we have on offer ( Foran, Luke, SJ, RTS ), we are worse off than last year, look at the ladder and compare.

Best team on paper, worst on the paddock.

Coaching.

Is much of a muchness I think

The thing that perplexes me, is that on every league show i hear how massive a change Foran has made to the Warriors, then I look at the ladder and don't see it

Yup. You'd think after last weeks humiliation they would be keen to make amends. I rate this performance worse. The Dragons cruising for most of the match and low goalkicking is the only thing that kept it from hitting 50.
