There are some things they have achieved to bring some balance to this btch fight! They've improved social media,
they've improved pacific island support,
they've improved international rep games as the pinnacle of the sport, kind of,
NRL games to be played in every state achieved, sporadically at still in the clubs hands
Sadly none of these things are really that important to the future of the game when you compare them to their list of fails. It would take a pretty impressive commission apologist to explain the results of the strategic plan measures to anything other than an abysmal failure in the key growth areas.
I guess $1.8billion wants enough to achieve these things, maybe $2.5billion will be in the next 5 years lol
At least you display some semblance of balance PR.
Balance depends upon your outlook and your thinking, but the rhetoric often thrown around here certainly doesnt match being balanced it doesnt evenmact being sensible. Especially when we talk about old mate nutjob Crusty and his incessant whinging.
Take just one issue in isolation and lets see who is balanced. Old Crusty says the whole commission is a failure and corrupt or inept and cites 400,000 club members as one objective which is a complete "FAIL" because we are nearly 100,000 short. Yet, it is most certainly an improvement on club membership from the time of when that plan was drawn up 5 years ago with the last 12 months showing a healthy increase of over 33,000 members. Yes, it didn't meet the target set in back in 2013 but is it a FAIL......no it isnt.
But according to some here that is one indicator of an abysmal result and the commission should all be sacked blah blah blah. They will come out and cite other objectives that were not met and whinge in the same fashion but they cherry pick an issue to present it as evidence of abject failure.
One thing I do know for sure is that if the ARLC consisted of any of the unbalanced, negative, whinging know nothings on here the game would be going backwards at a rate of knots as its quit clear they have zero commercial or financial acumen whatsoever.
The ARLC needs a shakeup and I say Grant has to go because new blood is needed & he is ultimately responsible for things that havn,t gone to plan. But to say the Commission is an utter faulure however is ludicrous.
