You know you guys seem to be parroting the book The Game by Neil Strauss

He is an excellent writer and has written amongst other books The Dirt (Motley Crue biography) and Jenna Jamison's biography

Anyhoo the game is about pick up artists and is a pretty good read

Back in the day i found it was better to be like Johnny appleseed and let the ladies know subtly that I was into them. Then if they seemed to convince themselves it was a good idea to go out with me and they would end up chasing me.

if i put on my dr muzby hat again and we revert back to the basic human instincts which drive our behaviour, this action is driven by the perceived vulnerability of the female at this point in time.

a basic human trait is to take the path of least resistance - so when we see a potential mate that we like that is in a vulnerable state (in this instance needing emotional support) and has been left alone by the previous potential suitor, the instinct is to go in and try to claim this mate as our own.

unfortunately the reason this position rarely works out for the male is because of the female trait of seeking out the strongest possible mate.

the comforting male is showing sensitivity and compassion, two traits that are traditionally a sign of weakness* when it comes to protecting a family from attackers such as other tribes or a stray mammoth. so once repaired the female will seek out a strong and protective male who will protect her from any further pain (even if, in modern day times, this guy may do exactly the same as the last one who hurt her..)


*which leads to why nice guys finish last - evolution determines that the strongest of the species are the ones who survive.

Any person who desires to spend their life with a shit human being is usually a shit human being themselves, that or stupid/desperate enough to continually look past their shitness and think that they are good for them/that nobody else will love them.

The friend zone is a stupid concept anyway. Everyone has people they are interested in and people they aren't interested in.

Is this happening now?

Yes and no. Long story short. I thought i found the woman i would wife. She told me about her feelings how she liked me and yadda yadda but becomes the biggest hypocrite in the face of the planet and starts dating my close mate. She told me to wait as she wasn't ready for a relo at that point in time. I didn't know whether to be angry, hurt or upset. I was crushed because someone that i love could do that to me. And the shit thing is she is in my friend circle so recently i see her around and she acts like nothing ever happened between us.

^^^^^^ this. If you like a girl, don't tolerate her sitting there whining about other guys and waiting for your opportunity, go for it before you get friend binned.

I always had the ideology that if you don't want to get friend zoned then just be completely open to the girl you want to bang. Cos lets face it people are only nice to their friends. And being nice always means not being open about everything.
