Studies would reveal that young people are generally too young for a substantial audience to guage whether they are good before they die. When someone dies, it is made obvious that the deceased was a good person.

So therefore, it is impossible to state whether only the good die young.

If that proverb were to be true then yes, old people are merkins.

Some people have stronger vocal capabilities, allowing their range of notes to vary easily and smoothly, and without wavering or weakening. Other people have weak vocal capabilities and due to that, they have no capability to hold a note as their voice is not genetically designed to do so.
To be honest though, everyone has their niche in a field of music somewhere, the problem is too many people want to be the wrong style of singer.
Mariah Carey has an operatic voice and she would be widely reknowned in the Operatic circles, but instead she chose to sing pathetic pop shit that is so bad it makes me ears bleed.
