The side is somewhat short on props - O'Meley and Civoniceva the only specialists. Obviously Simpson will be mainly playing prop from the bench.

Mason is another prop and plays there quite regularly. Simpson will come on and replace a 2nd rower.

bowen wouldve been much better he can play hooker n anywhere in the backs n is in form

Bowen would have been ok but I would rather him playing at fullback rather than off the bench!

So Lockyno1, it's alright for Bennett to pick players because of loyalty and 'I owe them" but not any other coach. Remember 05 - he picked players because of them injurying themselves in previous years in a nothing game or that they have served Oz well in the past.

Granted, Hodges has been playing exceptionally well this year but what has Cooper done wrong to miss out? Remember Hodges' previous rep appearances? Not real flash as I recall. Name some other Qlders that deserve to be picked ahead of the named side and your reasons.

And you don't like Joey hey? Why? Do you know him or is it because he's ripped it into Qld in Origin and we, yes I live here in the Sunshine State, have nothing to combat him?

Becuase he frankly does not deserve it. We need to pick teams ON FORM!

Mate I never said Bennetts selections were good, but at the time most of them were the best options availiable. Just tell me what has cooper done right? He was ordinary on saturday and hodges was excellent on saturday. That was enough to tell me that Cooper is damn lucky to be in the side. As for Johns, I am not sure. i have always not particularly liked him since I was really young.

Lockyer- see him every home game and Origin
Mini-Origin and I wouldn't go to a game to see him. If it was Bowen then maybe.
Joey- don't take this the wrong way but I don't really like him all that much. respect him but that is all.
Thurston- granted
Benji- granted

So that is just 2 players!

Don't you also see Hodges every home game and now most likely Origin as well, so if he were to play in the Test he would, going by the list above, fit in the same cat as Lockyer.

Only 3 Queenslanders, I really hope that doesn't impact badly on the crowd now.

No Hodges is a disgrace, you can understand loyalty in selections at times but loyalty to blokes who lost the Tri Nations? At the end of the day though as a Kiwi's fan I'll feel a lot safer with Cooper at left centre and the Broncos will get to reap the benefits of a fresh and fired up Hodges against Newcastle and beyond, thanks Ricky.

On the Kiwis team, no big surprises there. It really doesn't fill me with confidence though having Thomas Leuluai at halfback, I personally would've gone for Jeremy Smith regardless of only having a couple of first grade games under his belt.

Our team is alright. They would have picked Thurston because Johns is under an injury cloud. Don't know how they will use him if Johns is able to stay on for the whole match.

Difference is that it would be his test debut!

One game tells you that! His previous tells me that he is an excellent centre - paticularly in defence. Okay then, Hodges previous rep games tell me he is not up to that standard. I know he will prove this wrong but going on previous.......

Hodges just needs to wait. Gaznier will go to yawnion and then his spot opens up. Same side centre. I pesonally beleive that Gaznier should have told the NRL what his future plans are and if he is going to yawnion then he should not be selected for the Roos. A lot of people will disagree but I think we need to look to the future. If Gaznier isn't the future then Hodges or Bell are.
