Some absolutely classic batting from Martyn and Clarke atm .... boy they look good.

Clarke 87 runs from 93 balls ... SR 93.55
Martyn 61 runs from 124 balls ... SR 49.19

go on boys ... i hope Clarke emulates his hero Slater and kisses his badge for his first hundred at Lords.

Im going to shut up now

Clarke out for 91, then Martyn next ball. Harmison = Joel Garner (but only when he learns to master the yorker like Joel did).

OVP at least you didn't put the mockers on when they were starting their inns. Great to see Clarkey back in form. Now if only Hayden could stop playing that front foot pull and get back to the traditional one.

is Ponting still taking that massive stride across and forward that he usually does when he's trying to find his form again?

He takes forever to get back in the runs when he's doing that.

he does early in his innings but he settled down pretty well last night and made a good 40

This is the time for Dizzy to do something. He might not be taking wickets but a 50 from him would be very valuable.

Good fightback from England.

At one sage they were looking at chasing 450 which would have been impossible. But now it could be 330. still difficult but atleast they have a chance.

I get the feeling that there is one more twist left in this Test match.

P.S. England are playing with 10 men. Giles is cannon fodder and MUST be dropped. Maybe bring in Collingwood who can bowl a few overs to give the four seamers a rest.

Giles is the weak link Tommy. Is there any other spinner around in England going okay?

I'm not sure on Collingwood, I seriously think you need some sort of spinning option against Australia - their weakest card is usually against quality spin bowling.

if they don't play Giles, who else will they play

they don't seem to have much depth in spin bowling atm

if they play some one like Collingwood, his medium pace becomes fodder for our batsmen.

even some one like Tuffers bothered Australia occasionally

Lee run out because he was looking at a hit to his hand and not focusing on running.
Poor dizzy currently copping a gob full from the commentators dising his batting

Dizzy did just fine. He supported Katich pretty well.
Glad to see Katich get his 50, he deserves it, be great to see him get a century but the odds are against him, although in the recent test series agtainst NZ Pigeon really showed he can hang around and even hit a six!!!!

The poms will be prayin' for a monsoon!
