END BEN HUNT AND DELETE THREAD
There’s too much value in watching him squirm around and flip from qld to Sydney and back again whenever he can’t land a contract.

I’d like to see him in the second rate critters comp ESL with the rest of the done and dusted and retirees.Love to hear his excuse for that one.

I feel a bit sorry for his parents, his poor mum should have an exorcism before she gave birth to him.

he will be 35 next season PLEASE dont offer him to superleague - just dont
You’re right, grading him into Superleague at such a tender young age before he’s ready might ruin him.

Bunt to England might result in us being chucked out of the Commonwealth.

They’d be more grateful for 500 spent plutonium rods from Lucas Heights.

Hes a strange commodity at times isn't he......Wouldn't surprise me if he ran away from a circus to join an orphanage

Well he just gets these really bad ideas into his head and follows through.

It seems to me that those clubs who could actually use him, aren’t offering him what he wants -or he would have signed with them already.

I thinks he is fair player but on the wane. And that simply means as time goes on, he won’t improve but get worse.

We all know how it goes, the decline of a marquee, starts more or less slowly, then factory games appear more often and start to overtake good games. Good games then become the rare exception.

So his new club has to consider how quickly the decline will set in.

His bad off field choices have really mangled what could have been a solid and comfortable alumni lifestyle.

I’ve been to a panther do and when the great Royce Simmons walked in, there was a slight respectful hush and whispers. Someone told me he was here. And of course he was generous and met everyone he could -even strangers like me.

And we were introduced, he smiled at me and asked how I was going. It was great. I felt ten foot tall. He’s done so much for so many people. Maybe the greatest of all panthers and property of the game as a whole.

Bunt will never have that reputation or be held in such high esteem.

He could have had it all, Fame and fortune, but he chose very short term selfish interests, snatching defeat from reputational glory.

A bit like the befuddled Albert, but at least I see a way back for him in the long run.

It must get a bit boring chugging beers over at the Finch household with Rob and Brett, listening to Brett say sorry over and over.

And I can’t imagine anyone I know to be so afflicted and stuffed up by drugs that they would enter a pedo chat room.

You’d start thinking of necking yourself If you got close to that kind of reasoning.

Anyway, Ben had spoken a lot about his family’s best interests, they just seem to change every second day!!

It’s a bit weak of an excuse to play for any club but SGI “for family reasons” as he’s argued. It’s bizarre, lacks any reasoning whatsoever!

Oh dear, he’s such a boofhead!

Hunt thinks he can do what Cronk did and move to a club to help get them a premiership. The only problem with that is the people that would make the decision to pay him the money to do so seem to agree with all of us.

They’ll take him … but only at the right price. They won‘t be taking him as the guy that will be the difference between making the finals and lifting the trophy and he’ll be offered contract amounts to reflect that.

If he ever was that guy, and I don’t think he ever was, he certainly isn’t anymore.

The reports said that you were in talks with Gutho pretty much at the same time as Flanno punted Hunt.

Im thinking that the deal with Gutho was all but done before Flanno told Hunts manager he could go suck an egg.

Signing announcements are almost always carefully stage managed to try to maximise the benefits.

One of the last things Hunt said about the club was to dump on his team mate Kyle.

Anyone whose played a team sport, there’s always usually guy you hate more than someone in an opposing sides but you don’t go public.

Ex Rooster mate at work said making enemies with team-mates was standard fare but the line in the sand was there for the sake of the side.

Hunt clearly forgot this.

Kyle would be under more pressure than any other player. I liked the story of him driving with his dad to the game when they were popping each other. They both stayed professional but had a laugh about it too.

Anyway, Hunt and Lomax gone ski, good prospects of team harmony.

Cracking post.

If Hunt thinks he will walk into a team as the leader or marquee , then he is mistaken. He had his chance with us, and spent the last few years being anything but a leader. Under the fraud Hook, he demanded and got what he wished. That's as much on Hook as it is on Ben.

Honestly, I couldn't give a rats where he goes, I'm glad we have moved on.

The plot thins!

I wonder what kind of dollar is being bandied around. Surely he’d be taking a whack, the Dogs spend like drunken sailors.

And 2 years is pretty much a damp squid for Bunt. For a kangaroo, it’s a bit of an embarrassment.

I thought he was supposed to knocking back marquee offers from 4 or 5 clubs?

I wouldnt mind if he goes to the dogs, because they dont need a 6 or 9.. just a 7.. so if they think Hunts going to do that I think it wouldnt end well.. however.. Burton is going to be doing all the kicking + goalkicking + fieldgoals.. so Hunt would be given a fairly limited role.

If he went to the Fins or Broncos though.. maybe he shakes free 'something' for us, a prop for example.. but thats a bit of a moonshot tbh.

Yeah, I was thinking about Burto as well.

Bunt is not going to let Burto get the glory.

They’ll have to redesign their attack to make better use of Bunt depending on his price.

Back in the day, I thought Burto was one of the best young footy players I’ve ever laid eyes on. He was almost on an immortal journey. Then he went to the bulldogs and while he’s still great etc, his own game has suffered. He just stopped getting better and flatlined. Tragedy watching such a talent being wasted.

Bunt will stuff his game further probably.

The other thing for you guys is which player is Flanno going to “Lomax” ( lift up beyond known capabilities) in 2025?!
