I wonder if this will change News' viewpoint? Is she still more credible than the 3 players?

If it is unrelated it should have no bearing on this incident at all. The fact remains the girl had a black eye and a fractured eye socket. That should be the only thing that people are concerned with finding out how she came to have those injuries.

Agreed, some of the comments on here about a young lady are nothing short of disgraceful. I take it the posters are not fathers.

She's spoken to police. Some suggestions she's pressed charges. However this article dosn't confirm that as such.

The woman who alleged she was bashed by rugby league star Ben Te'o has been arrested by Queensland Police.

Katie Lewis was arrested on a bail act warrant and brought to Brisbane City Watch House today, the Courier Mail reports.

She is expected to face Brisbane Magistrates Court this afternoon.

It is believed her arrest was unrelated to the assault allegations.

Lewis, 22, claimed she was punched in the face by the Rabbitohs player at the home of Brisbane Broncos player Corey Norman.

She alleged Te'o fractured her eye socket.

The woman spoke to detectives for four hours at Ferny Grove Police Station about the alleged assault this morning, the Brisbane Times reports.

A formal statement has been filed, but Te'o has not been charged.

Te'o has denied any wrongdoing.
