Put it this way ,if i was a betting man ,i would ring the bookie and see what odds benji is to join the dragons or parra ,and put some money on it :shock:

It's not happening ! Benji will most likely go to Sharks with Bulldogs rumoured to be looking at him as an option for fullback with the Storm a real outsider ( apparently wants to be Sydney based so their chances are slim )

Benji's best days well behind him,his adlib style suited the Tigers at the time and his body type has changed and is struggling to recapture that form.
The scum can keep trying to buy a premiership,they are a godsend for washed up players ,they keep recruiting them saving them a trip to the UK.

Benji 2005 model would for sure..
Benji 2014 model is 15kgs heavier and 15 seconds slower, and 50% less work rate.
he was average in 2012, awful in 2013 and a disaster in 2014

Just to get this right... Are you saying Widdop isn't in the elite bracket of players?
Dugan is a superstar, and really, i think it was a tad more than falling in our laps.

Spot on.
It can only be a revenue raiser in the short term. Risk is disruption to the squad. Benji is / was a huge talent, but we all have heard the rumours of how he "controlled" things at the Tigers.
In addition, as you said, wont fix the obvious squad issues.
Its a shame. He should have ended his career at the Tigers, like Stewart should have at Manly.

Yep.

Sponsors will want to capitalise on the media circus. There will be hundreds of pics taken of Marshall in a Shark jersey & someone will want their company it.

Widdop was/is the English 5/8, I'd say being an international puts him in that catagory. Beale was a Kiwi international before injury. Harrison was also a NZ international. I think we have a playing group when you add in Dugan, Morris, Gypsy, Merrin etc that will attract more players now and given our improved standing that should make it a bit easier as well

However I think Marshall would be a turnstyle in defense and make too many errors in attack as well as play without any structuce. He'd have to come pretty cheap for me to sign him as I see it as a huge gamble. I don't think he would be good for team morale either
