Well according to my non Sharks source Benji has been in the pipeline for nearly 2 months. Agreed about a month ago. But changed his tune when it became official, as apparently every club wanted him for this year. Lots of late offers to consider. It narrowed down to a few who would offer longer deals. From what I've heard melbourne arent interested at all as they have nowhere to move in the cap legally. Benji being such a high priority will be tripled scrutinised.
The Sharks are also hanging out for the NRL to come to the Party with a sponsorship deal with him to get him back into the game.
The wild card is Ch9 who will be close to his main employer from now on. They may dictate which club he goes to. This is bad for us as obviously they want Benji playing free to air.
But i will stick with what I heard originally. Benji was a Shark a month ago. He will play fullback.
