Ah Peter Sellars! Yes that's who I was thinking of. Once again doesn't get enough recognition because he was known as a comedian, but had loads more talent than most 'dramatic' actors.

You misunderstood my assertion, when I said most disappointing actor of the decade, I was offering an appraisal of his work in the last decade. For someone who had such a strong body of work in the 90's he's really been the shits. If he wasn't talented nothing would have been expected of him.

Okay fair enough but What's the point in narrowing it down?. I'veonly seen Recount & Horrible Bosses from the last 10 years off the top of my head so if the rest are garbage it doesn't change the fact he was one of the premier actors of the 90's and his work should be recognised :?

Robert DeNiro has been pretty average since Casino with only spurts of good performances. Same deal.

You asked why is he not getting more love, that's why in my opinion.

I would have included American Beauty had it not already been mentioned.

I essentially consider De Niro retired, he's just phoning it in now.

If I were to compare the two, De Niro has a lager body of strong work, with better peak performances.

Toby Kebbells portrayal of Johnny Quid in RocknRolla floated my boat. When an actor can take a role like that and make him a cult anti-hero its awesome.

I wish Guy Ritchie would piss the Holmes shit off and finish the trilogy.

Ordered in 'J. Edgar Hoover' last night on Foxtel. DiCaprio plays Hoover. Nailed the role (as always). Pulled off the Bostonian/New York accent to a tee (like he did in 'The Departed').
