Now Konrad's retweeting people saying that not showing up for a session is more a reflection on the coach. He is a very stupid human being...

If thats true, then he will have his contract torn up.

So someone tweeted "Six Warriors do no show to review hui. I'd say that's a review of the coach in itself", linked in Konrad and so he retweeted it. Dumb dumb dumb.

It's like having a real crap day at work and your boss saying "Go home have a rest and we'll see how it looks in the morning when you come in". Instead you go out get smashed catch a few zz's on a park bench and head back to work eventually when you wake up.
Most people wouldn't have a job to go back to.

Then we're f**ked. Honestly, we are f**ked.

This won't be popula
r but I blame the fact that the coach is not up to the job, and soon I will blame the CEO if he doesn't clear this shit up, get us a coach who can actually coach at this level and give us long-suffering f**king fans something to be happy about. We are at the end of our tether with this shit.

At the end of the day (again, this won't be popular) I feel this is all a bit of a cry for help, or a show of 'we can't win under this mug'. Yes, our guys are completely unprofessional. But to me, they see a completely inept coach who is unable to get them where they want to go. They could bust their arses but they see their coach doesn't know how to coach them to beat good sides. They might scrape the 8 but nothing more. I truly believe the likes of Matulino, Thompson, Manu want to work hard - and have in the past. But they know a shit coach when they see one. It is absolute human nature in these conditions to slack off a bit, cause a bit of trouble like this and sub-consciously (or consciously) hope it leads to the coach going.

Which it should.

If this leads to the coach being a protected species and getting a player clearout over a him clear out, yeah I'll go find other things to do on a weekend.

Jim Doyle, get rid of our coach, tell the players they are on their last notice or they'll be shipped off somewhere else, and give us our f**king club back. We're sick of it.
I have no idea why this shouldn't be popular. The coach is clearly not up to it and I'm unsure why he gets backing on here. He has issues with selection, he has issues with game plan, and he clearly has issues with motivation.

The party line in this forum is that Bluey couldn't coach, had no respect from the players etc, yet Cappy is the same and he's got his white knights on here defending him to the hilt. I find it bonkers.

Mutts often goes close to being the best prop in the game (even Gould's said this when he had a bunch of Aussies to choose from) yet he started the season sitting on the bench while the Wests Tigers teared the Warriors a new one. I reckon this Warriors outfit would turn the Storm forwards shit.

Then we should piss him off and his followers can go with him.
If the choice is staying and backing Cappy over Manu, I'd happily go.

I wouldn't even bother - he'll just get a contract elsewhere. Unless it's going to harm our cap next year (ie. unless getting him off the books is of material benefit to the club), I'd fine the bejesus out of him (maximum fine possible under his contract/nrl codes) and make him sit out his entire contract in reserve grade, training with the reserve grade squad only, and keep fining him for every misdemeanor. Only would consider bringing him back after a significant long term change both on and off the field.

Put that up as the standard and lets see how many more dipshits step out of line, knowing they won't just get a career restart, they'll lose huge money and a year/more off their career (and by extension, even more money). I bet we'll have a squad of professionals quick smart.

The others get dropped and a warning, they don't have the same rap sheet with this stuff - and Konny's punishment can be the second part of that warning.

Coach still needs to get gone, though. He's making way too many bad decisions. But with player power attempts happening, I can see any changeover waiting until the end of the season.

It's not Manu's first time at the dumb ass table either.
Posting being at Movies while team playing, involved with late night before Tigers game with Koni (yes he was injured during both, but not best example) from recent memory.

Manu has a LOT more positive marks on the other side of his ledger though, on and off-field.

I can appreciate the hard stance you want to take there, but treating someone like that is not going to help you from a recruitment standpoint. There's also then a risk that he lingers around being a distraction, being a bad influence on the reserve side, saying dopey crap on social media etc.

Easiest thing is just to wash the clubs hands of him and let him go. Big chance he'll go flourish somewhere else, but it isn't going to happen at the Warriors.

The top clubs do this, they'll have talented players coming up but if they're shitheads then they'll say goodbye go be a project for another team and move on because regardless of how talented you are the behaviour isn't appropriate. Some go on to turn it around, but reality is some guys need that wake up call before they get their shit together.

The coach has copped the blame at the Warriors for too long, but, McFadden is part of the issue here too. Both things can be issues, it doesn't have to be the player or coach. Everything needs a clean out and fresh start. If you get the right coach in then it begins from there and he can dictate who is up to standard. But to make that really work you ideally need a guy with experience with pedigree that you can say here's the keys we've got your back do what's required.

Yeah I get that view, though I don't think it's really something to worry about in comparison to the current issues. I mean- the only players who are copping that treatment are the ones stepping out of line, and to get to where Konny is... seemingly constant messing around. If a player is that put off by knowing that he'll get slammed if he stuffs up, maybe I don't want that player - it indicates to me he thinks there's a possibility, and values that over a team that takes its responsibilities seriously. At least not bringing them into the current (apparent) playing group culture.

As for being a bad influence - if you're seriously concerned about that, send him to a lower grade still where he has no training/playing contact with any Warriors players.

I don't care about Hurrell becoming a great player for another club- it's more about setting a precedent as to how guys who constantly stuff up get treated. When/if (surely when) he leaves I no longer care about him, just like I no longer care about Locke or Packer.

Still seems easier to just say cya later. Like I said can appreciate the hard stance and don't think it's undeserved, but what benefit does it serve to the club burying him in ressies and fining him money that you're paying him in the first place? you can make the big stand by getting rid of him. If you don't think he's worth the investment then it's just a waste of time, money, energy dicking around with him when you can just send him packing. Yeah he'll get a contract elsewhere, then he becomes another teams problem and you can focus all your attention on players deemed worthy of investing in.

I don't care about the possibility of Hurrell being a great player at another club either, I don't think that's the mentality that can be carried because even if he does go on to do that, the reality is it won't happen over here. That's the decision the big teams are willing to make they can say we know how much potential you've got but you're a muppet so cya later. But you just know if it happens so many will come out crying omg they released Hurrell and now look at him.

It depends, if sending him elsewhere where we have to pay part or all of his contract for the next year or two and eat up the cap then keeping him and fining him makes sense, but if you can get a clean break where another club will pay everything well thats a different story

Hurrell can f**k off now as far as I am concerned.

I would have dropped Thompson anyway at some stage, for the good stuff he does his defence if horrible

Disappointed that Manu and Vete are involved, they strike me as character guys... not sure on Matulino's character, but he's an elite prop, we need to keep him

it's not about backing one way or another. I couldn't care less whether Cappy stays or goes, but if he goes without players being shipped out with him then f**k this club because it's going nowhere.

The coach isn't the common demoninator, we've been through 3 of them. You can boil it down to a simple black versus white if you want and people can keep hoping for their magic coach fix that will make everything sunshine and roses, but there are multiple problems within the club that need to be addressed. One single fix won't change a damn thing as we've seen time and time again for the last 5 years.

An ill-timed social media post by out-of-favour Warriors centre Konrad Hurrell has added fuel to speculation coach Andrew McFadden has lost the support of his players.
Hurrell is one of six players reprimanded by McFadden after enjoying a late night out in Auckland on Tuesday following Monday's 42-0 Anzac Day defeat to Melbourne.
Veteran players Manu Vatuvei, Ben Matulino and Bodene Thompson, and young front-rowers Sam Lisone and Albert Vete, were all dropped from the side named to play St George Illawarra on Sunday.
Hurrell, who has spent the last two weeks in reserve grade, was also out with the group on Tuesday night and was subsequently excluded from selection for Sunday's game.
The incident, together with the team's inconsistent performances, fuel the public's perception the players don't respect McFadden, who is under huge pressure after achieving three wins in their last 16 games.

Hurrell added weight to that perception today when he retweeted a post saying: "Six Warriors do no show to review hui. Id say that's a review of the coach in itself #faithgone #tautokotheboys @konmanhurrell @ManuVatuvei"
Tweet3.jpg

The post was quickly removed from Hurrell's account, meaning it was either retweeted by accident, or that he regretted sharing it to his 2164 followers.
Hurrell has form in regards to social media faux pas and late night indiscretions.
Last year, Hurrell was fortunate to escape punishment, after he, Vatuvei and former Warriors player Dominique Peyroux attended a concert in Auckland two days before being thrashed 50-16 by Wests Tigers.
The trio went on stage with American R&B performer Ginuwine and later posted about it on social media, earning a stern rebuke from McFadden, who described their actions as "unacceptable".
Hurrell's future at the club has been under question all season and the 24-year-old has recently been linked with a move to the Gold Coast Titans.
After working hard over the summer to improve his fitness and shed excess kilos, he spent the first two rounds playing for the Warriors reserve grade side in the second tier Intrust Super Premiership.
He was recalled to the bench for four games against the Storm, Knights, Roosters and Sea Eagles, but his role was largely restricted to assisting the forwards playing in the middle of the park.
McFadden then dropped Hurrell back to reserve grade over the past fortnight, citing the need for him to play longer minutes.

Despite the Warriors seven tries to none thrashing by the Storm, Hurrell was not recalled for Sunday's must-win clash against the Dragons at Mt Smart Stadium. His involvement in the Warriors mid-week night out then ensured he was ruled ineligible for a late call-up.
Earlier today, Warriors forward Charlie Gubb insisted McFadden had the player's backing and refuted claims he had lost the dressing room.
However, Gubb accepts the only way that perception will change is by performing on the field consistently.

"People assume things and we're not doing him any favours by playing the way we did," he said. "What hurts the most is people blaming Cappy because, as a team, we've got so much respect for him and he's a great coach.
"We just need to start delivering for him because it's easy to point the finger at the coach and also the star players cop a lot [of criticism]. The only way we can stop that is by winning."

f**king Hurrell - just sack the overweight underperforming narcissistic f**k now

I'm no McFadden fan at all, want him gone too but would happily see Hurrell sacked immediately
