other question is, will it be the same stuff we get year after year in the blue blood pack? if they charge you $70 every year for near enough to the same stuff a lot of people will stop renewing.

they might include a mouse pad and pen next year and charge $99?

Just on merchandise that reminds me. I gotta see these $60 singlets I have heard about. I have some bonds singlets that are made in aus and are about $5 a pop. I reckon the $60 must be made with silk or must be made to measure or something. It's got me stumped how it can be possible.

The Singlets are $50, not $60. $60 gets you a training shirt with sleeves.

You know the other thing I am disappointed with is the Bumper Sticker.

We have spoken at length about the bumper sticker or rear window glass sticker, but looking at the one in the Blue and Gold army pack, it is just to big for my liking.

The Old Bunnies stickers were good, because they were small enough to put in places on the rear window glass that would not be obtrusive. The new Bunnies sticker with the year and member are a little less inconspicuous but still quite good, where as ours is just to big to put anywhere on the rear glass that would not be obtrusive.

I have a sticker on the rear glass of my car from another sporting organisation. I had to purchase but it was only I think $2, the great thing is they had various sizes from covert to overt depending on what level or support you wanted to show.

Some were big enough to fit on the entire back glass if you wanted, but I was speaking to their merchandise people, and they only one that ever "Sells Out" is the 15 cm version. The same one I have on my car. The one when my rear window was damaged in the hail stones, I sent away for, a $2 sticker but I sent away for it knowing my car wasn't "Complete" without it.

But this sticker in the BGA pack, it will be dated in a year, and it is just to big to be practical.

My Mother has put it on the Read glass door so my nephews don't walk into the door not "seeing" the glass. My Aunty has put it on a side window where her Grand Daughters put their AFL club stickers.

That's hardly an unusual restriction. Most vouchers have usage limits, for obvious reasons.

Roll your eyes but the way I see it is that the club is actually doing themselves out of $120. Because now, Instead of buying a jersey valued at $160, I'll now most likely go in there and buy cheap stuff like DVD's etc with the vouchers, which is stupid from a sales point of view, but hey I didn't really expect much else from the supporters shop. Just highlights the fact that you'll get a better deal down at Peter Wynn's.

that's exactly the way I see it, $140 is still out of my budget but I would have definitely purchased a jersey if I could have used both voucher in the one transaction.

My understanding is we get a 10% member discount anyway, but not when used with a voucher. If finances allow later I may still get one but will probably get it form wynns when they have there deals on or even rebel with an NRMA deal.

I ended up getting a cheaper white polo that was $60, so ended up spending only $40 and have held onto the other to see what becomes available in kids jumpers or will just find some cheap item that doesn't cost much more than the voucher.

all NRL gear is over priced, try selling the stuff and hear the complaints from people who want to support there club but can't afford to.
I try to keep my NRL stock at a affordable price but again this year the prices have all increased. I get complaints about my flag prices at $18, try getting them for $18 at the ground or even at most retailers.

apparently we don't get a 10% discount any more
I thought MITS mentioned that after a rethink it was back.

If not the packs just get knocked down even further, lets bring back the old memberships where we got cheaper deals, better hats and discounts.

I think the Blue Blood packs is an epic fail, personally I'm not too fussed cause I've got my season ticket but for those going out and just getting the pack have a right to be annoyed, and if you cant get further discounts then that even worse. I was looking at my cap the other day and it is so poorly made it's not funny they couldn't even get the stripes on the brim of the hat straight and they have the blue stitching going across the yellow stripes.

Just received my 2 packs in the mail and I am disappointed too... and there is no way postage would have cost $10 for EACH of those tiny weightless parcels to get delivered.

Only good thing is the old school logo on everything... at least they got somthing right.

I would have preferred a backpack instead of the cooler bag, tattoos and CARDBOARD COASTERS (WTF!).

Got my 2 packs as well today.
Not fussed about what's inside - doesn't bother me one way or another.
I'm just happy to be throwing $70 the club's way to help them financially.

ok got mine in the mailbox today and wasn't expecting much after reading comments on here. Got back in the car with the mail and the wife asked who is the parcel from? when i said the footy club her response was "You paid $80 for that?" that was before i had opened the parcel. On deeper inspection when we got inside we went thru the pack and gave each item a retail value as follows-
Cap -$25
Cooler bag- $15
keyring- $10
lanyard- $10
coasters- $5
sticker- $7
Tattoos- $5
total retail vaule= $77
plus for those who goto the odd game discounted tickets and a $20 voucher for the store (no good to me but plenty would use it) and membership to the football club which was $25 p/year

So all in all it's good value.
If anyone disagrees with the above then they don't know what licenced products are worth.
Proud to be a Blue & Gold Army Member 2010 and haven't had the cap off since i opened it!

Thank god, finally someone who is happy.
I was also happy with what was included. Jumpsuit was so excited upon receiveing his that he has since cleaned up his room, voluntarily went and had a bath and then set the table for dinner.
As I said, I didn't expect anything. I am just happy that I can throw $70 in the clubs direction.

tbh, I'd be more than happy to give mine away with the exception of the keyring as I'm satisfied that the $70.00 went directly to the club..I'm dissapointed but in a way, expected that the package wasn't going to live up to any hype.

I wouldn't spend $70 on the stuff they have given us, but because it comes free with my Season Ticket, and because I actually save money, its fine. My Aunt in Melbourne loves it.

Oh look they are handing out Kool-aid.

People were complaining about the value MITS i was pointing out that at retail it's pretty much worth what we paid plus football club membership, discounted tickets and a $20 voucher to the BGA shop.

Have to say though, the club shouldnt be relying on the benelovent nature of fans such as yourself, they do need to provide some value back or many who choose the blue blood only will drop out
