Have to say though, the club shouldnt be relying on the benelovent nature of fans such as yourself, they do need to provide some value back or many who choose the blue blood only will drop out

Judging by the comments around this joint.....you're right.

and there is no way postage would have cost $10 for EACH of those tiny weightless parcels to get delivered.
(WTF!).
how big were the parcels? australia post has changed the way it charges for postage it used to be only measured by weight so you could have a really big parcel and as long as it was light it was still cheap to post now it goes on weight or size whichever is the greater my aunt once posted a plastic ninja turtles van to her grandson it cost her $30! which was almost as much as the bloody toy cost!!:crazy:
p.s. she now sends gift vouchers ;-)

I think it's fair enough tbh.

For some people, 70 bucks is a lot of money.

Mind you, I pay well over that for a my sussex st membership and all I get is a sh*tty laminated paper membership card that always sticks to something else in my wallet

And tbh, I think they have.
Human society can be so greedy sometimes. Are we doing this because we love the Eels and we all have a desire to, in some small way, help the club out, even if it's just a few dollars, or are we doing this because we expect heaps of stuff worth at least $70?
Judging by many of the complaints on here by so called "Eels fans", I sometimes wonder.

Memberships won't be the be all and end all of club survival, but they WILL help. Every little bit helps.
I wonder what Tim Mannah and some of the others who went to Rwanda think of some of the sh*t that has been posted here lately?
"Oh, the caps are crap".
"The coasters are cardboard".
"What do we need a lanyard for"?.
"OMG, I can't use two vouchers at the one time".

FMD!!!!

Fair dinkum, some people around here need to have a real f**king good hard look at themselves.

PS. Oh, and fancy adding a link to memberships on an email to members.??? God forbid.:x

Hit the nail on the head. Thanks for making some sense in a forum where the glass remains half empty all the time.

Thank god, finally someone who is happy.
I was also happy with what was included. Jumpsuit was so excited upon receiveing his that he has since cleaned up his room, voluntarily went and had a bath and then set the table for dinner.
As I said, I didn't expect anything. I am just happy that I can throw $70 in the clubs direction.

Suity

I was happy O:)

Might I just add that there are some comments on here by some people re these packs that they should be ashamed of.
Absolutely greedy , selfish and insolant bastards.

lol! you made more sence suity then anything kevin rudd has said in the last 3 years.

there are 4 coasters, just use one at a time they'll last you a year and then you may get more! if you want cork ones then don't be a tight arse and go buy some.

Actually Suity is way more sensible than Krudd, who is the modern answer to Whitlam and Carr, and if you think that is harsh , talk to my missus.

Fish will be on here soon

Suity we are a greedy bunch at times, the club needs members and gives a little in return, and we still don't understand what is about, that is one thing we could learn from the Victorians

I agree with a lot of what you said, and, I should have put the caveat that I haven't picked up my pack, and personally it doesn't bother me because I'm ticketed. Also, with things like this, you're more likely to hear from people unhappy than people content.

Still, I think if people don't think they're getting value for the $70 then they're entitled to feel that way. Particuarly if all they had previously was a football club membership. Whats value to one person may not be to another.

We've come along way with these memberships, I'd hate the increase this year suffers a drop off because people don't see value or think they're being taken for granted (not saying they are).

Personally, I'd be happy, if I wasn't ticketed, to pay the $70 each year and be done with it (god knows I fritter away more than that on irrelevant things), but thats just me. Each to their own.

Nope. Enough threads get derailed here without me taking you to town. I'll let it go through to the keeper.

What would tim mannah do???

well he'd probably take the hat put it on a gorilla, take a photo and send it into zoo weekly, ozzie would then use the photo as a cover for yearbook 2010 :D

me thinks some people get too worked up around here sometimes,

but for some constructive feedback, have a couple of packs,

junior version, adult and senior, cause really what do 3 year olds need coasters for anyways
