Guys,

If people are willing to work with the club and myself on this, as some legwork has already been put into this very idea, I do believe your ideas can bear some fruit.

As per my PM back to ParraMatt if people are REALLY interested and get names and numbers etc to myself, ParraMatt , JessEel, Nikki or <Up The Eels> I'll continue my negotiations.

hey colonel, sounds cool. i personally think it would be better for all of us to sit together. but what are you negotiating with the club - an area we can sit without edgy panthers fans harrassing us?

Just a few things. I'll know where we stand with names and stuff. If we can show them an interest they or a sponsor may scratch our backs.

I will continue to sit in my seat in Bay 66.
However, I would be happy to join up at away games

Intentions are great!!
But I was of the opinion that some quality ground work has been already established through the club and the Parramaniacs!

Guys if you do it right
EG Petitions showing interest / joint yearly memberships, even perhaps a seperate website.
I'm 100% confident the club would get right behind it and really throw some resources behind it.
Which at the end of the day is what it is going to require for us too compete against the other established armys in the NRL!!

....taking nothing away from the EWO, As they are still very good mates of ours, I just think it is time to make a second army.

All groups come together to form the Blue and Gold Army, there are sub-groups within this Army, always have and always will in my eyes.

The true Blue & Gold Army includes ALL supporters of this great club that most of us love to death!

Look, The Blue and Gold Army finished long ago, Everyone has split up now, There is the parramaniacs, EWO, now the Blue and Gold Army. We aren't going to all sit together because we all have different areas that we sit. We are a new army with an old name. Each Sub-Group sit in there individual section, Yes we may all be called the Blue and Gold Army but this is the name we have created for our Army. At away games I am sure we will all sit together but for home games we have our respected areas.

I was just saying that in my view the "Blue & Gold Army" was the collective term used to describe ALL parra supporters. I.e. If you were an EELS fan, your in the Blue & Gold Army no matter whre you sit, what you wear or even if you go to the games or not!

As Freak has said the ground work has been laid. Any interest will only get the club further behind it.

The Parramaniacs as they were known this year will be back in some form in 2005 with the aim of making the group a more "permanent" thing i.e: same people participating as close to "all the time" as possible.

hehe, greg i think i probably sent the same type of private back to Matt as you.

I've just got a few things to sort out:

* Not sure if I'll be able to attend all games
* Some games I attend my dad and sister might want to go with me (they are Parra Fans too, but not to my extent of insanity; they probably prefer sitting in the Cronin stand)

I'll get these things sorted and let you know ASAP.

No No No No.

This army will not be joining with the parramaniacs. Im sorry Colonel and Planeteels. I don't want to sit with them. I want an army similar to The Burrow or SGB. Not a bloody number of us wearing wigs and chearing the eels on, That isn't my intention, My intention is a large group, Drinking beer, Standing, And singing for the full 80 minutes.

Army currently consists of

ParraMatt
<Uptheeels>
Half
Eels Dude
Eelementary
Strider (Part time)
Ron Jeremy

Looking at Bay 55 for next season, So far 6 full-timers and is growing very quickly. Once we get our season passes it'll be getting ready to learn our chants for next year.

And this is why there will not be a unified group.

Everybody wants to have it their own way. This is how all the different variants of the Eels supporters groups started.

Nothing wrong with that, but the result is that there will be a lot of armies fighting against each other ( our group is better than yours, so nyaaaaah!!) instead of fighting together.
