Oh look, a bunch of raiders fans trying to defend someone who hasn't even had the number 1 jersey.. well ever.

Next season will tell the story, until then... lets not jump the gun and play the "what if" and "this will happen" games.

It will be good to see Brett back on the field and stress free

lol Stewart jumping right back into the NSW No.1 Jersey. He's in the same position Minichiello was when he missed large chunks of the season

He'll be a good back up to Dugan, but he's not in the same class and never will be

how quickly people forget...

If he can return to his previous form he's better than Dugan. Why? he's produced top quality form over several seasons , not just one.

Dugans great , dont get me wrong. But true champions produce form over several seasons , until Dugan has done this you cant seriously suggest he's in another class than stewart.

I was reading some of the stories in the paper from when it all first blew up. The DT reported that he had to be pulled off the girl by neighbours after crash tackling her. Was not even close to the truth!!!! It seems a mystery as to why this even made trial based on the lack of evidence.

I hope Stewart milks the media for every cent this story is worth. After having his name dragged through the mud for the last 18 months he deserves every single red penny & every chance to tell his story, the story the jury found to be truthfull.

I hope Stewart gets the NSW S.O.O fullback jersey next year if only on how he has played in the past just to piss Raiders fans off

This was always going to be the case as soon as the DNA evidence came back negative.
Anyone who thought otherwise was living in a hate filled fantasy world.
So......... considering the allegations were obviously false it is a shame they can't put her up for trial on perjury charges, you know, considering her entire story is a fabrication.

I was amazed how long the jury took to make their decision on the 3 charges.

There's reports the actual time of jury deliberations was under an hour.

For a 10 day trial this is unbelievable.

There is video footage from the season launch that has been replayed umpteen times over the last few weeks in which he is seen drinking.

Full control of his actions? Are you suggesting he was completely sober?
Which the jury laughed about after the crown, tried to convince the jury he was heavily intoxicated, when he tripped over.

Not a Manly fan or a Brett Stewart fan but the idea that somebody can be put through two years of hell based on two witnesses, without a shred of evidence is ridiculous. It can happen to any of us. It's great that he has his innocence but what of the time and stress that must have taken his toll on him. What of the lost earnings, over the last two years as well as the future. What of his reputation (there will always be those "where theres smoke theres fire" idiots who will always think he did it).

The guy is a champion and has been through hell because of these lies. I'm proud to be a Manly fan, watching how he has dealt with this and watching how the Manly club, his team mates and the fans have stuck by the bloke and never believed the lies spread about him. I too hope he gets every cent he can out of the media scum to tell the truth.

On the media, I notice they have changed their tune from another guilty football star, to the falsely accused superstar who has had his last two years destroyed. I also notice the anti-Stewart brigade on here have been a lot quieter since the jury's verdict.

Not only did the jury unanimously decide in VERY quick time, one of them cried when the verdict was read out and three of them stayed back after they were dismissed to wish Stewart well. His lawyer said he had never seen this in all his time in the court room. That just goes to show that people should never make assumptions of guilt before hearing both sides of the story and getting all the evidence.

Reckon the AFL financed the girl's complaint. There'll be a backdoor deal where they cover her legal fees + a handout for services rendered.

To be honest I wanted the guy to go to jail cos i don't like him. But when I read his side of the story (the girl trying to kiss him etc) I believed he was innocent and I felt sorry for him. He's been through a lot of unnessecary sh*t in the last 2 years. As a fellow male i'm glad he got off.

He won't be getting any rep jerseys again though.

Wouldn't that lend itself to jury bias? :?
