Thank god. He was only taking the Broncos downhill.

Daniel Anderson, Mal Meninga, Brian McClennan or Michael Hagan are the favourites IMO if there is to be a successor this year.

Anyone who says the sacking's for last year's results is kidding themselves.

Do you think the board weren't aware of the injury toll?

Whatever Henjak was sacked for certainly contributed to last year's poor form but that's not the same as him being sacked just for missing the finals. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

The fallout between Ricky Stuart and Cronulla started when Stuart flew up to Brisbane and had a secret meeting with Bruno.

I wouldn't be surprised if R. Stuart will be the next Broncos Coach.

paul white hope u dont show to much support for griffin as only six weeks ago u said u would support henjak could be the shortest nrl coaching career in history!!!! I think all broncos supporters are owed some form of truth to why henjak was sacked. Anything would be better than the f..... dribble from the press release just given.

The Brisbane Broncos this afternoon sacked coach Ivan Henjak - even before the 2011 premiership season kicks off!

Brisbane has been alive with rumours for weeks, perhaps months, that Henjak had fallen out with senior players and was on borrowed time.

But no one suggested he would be shown the door before the season starts!

He is to be replaced for the 2011 season by Assistant Coach, Anthony Griffin.

The announcement certainly "rains" on the announcement earlier today of the major sponsors for the proposed second team in Brisbane.

It will struggle to rate a mention tomorrow given the news at the Knights, and the now the sacking of the leading coaching role in Brisbane.

The sacking of Henjak will lead to speculation that Wayne Bennett will return to the club in 2012.

I think that is unlikely...

Rather the Broncos will begin the search for a high profile coach from the existing premiership coaching panel, or UK Super League.

A possible coaching role for Darren Lockyer - not as head coach - cannot be ruled out.

We live in interesting times...

I hate saying this about a former Raiders champion but Stuart is nothing but a whinging, overhyped, one trick pony coaching gimp.

From the man who thinks a semi final victory trumps a grand final victory...

Wake up.

I said us beating you in a semi at Kogarah trumps anyone beating the Chooks in a grand final.

I understand you're all up in the clouds because your team's won their maiden premiership but my team's won 4 in the past 30 years. They start to get a bit samey after a while.

In fact, our fourth was as dull as your first. Just for different reasons.

Anyway it's all beside the point. Henjak wasn't sacked for missing the finals you f**ken twit.

Pretty sure a few Broncos players might just explode if Stuart were to go there.

Stuart would be a poor replacement.
I dont know, the broncos have some players which could execute stuart plans.
at the sharks , stuart didnt have the players to execute the game plans.

Like Brownie, sheens and smith, stuart has been let down by the game plans execution by the players

Um, isn't it one of the coaches roles to get players to execute their game plans? And if they can't, devise new game plans that they can?

Stuart's game plan for the last 10 years: Tackle. Run one out. Repeat for five then bomb. If it fails blame everyone else.

Paul White was very good mates with Wayne Bennett back in his old Brisbane Souths days.

I'd say Bennett will be back at the Broncos next year, with the aim of grooming Locky as a future coach.

They will want to ensure this proposed new Brisbane bid doesn't get their hands on Bennett.

Today's announcement on Henjak also trumps the Brisbanebid 2 presser.

The coach can try to get the players to execute the game plans, but its whether the players are up to it, is another question , not entirely all the coaches fault
