What happens when team has losing season?! Oh wait, we saw in 1997 with reds. Independently wealthy bid is correct choice.
Good job Perth has millionaire backers and a supportive govt then hey? or is it only pokie dens that count?

If Perth has so many millionaires backing the game then why do you whinge about the ARLC not giving the WARL $2m per annum?

Bukowski & PR: "Perth has lots of money, but it's up to Brisbane and Sydney to fund RL in Perth!"
Because millionaires want to own an NRL club, not fund little johnny running around the school field.

You think a Perth-based team will generate more than Parra?
No idea, thats why there will be a business case. They need to generate enough to be sustainable. At moment everyone on that list was allegedly profitable with the NRL grant that year. Hopefully we are higher up the list to be able to spend more. Only the bid team and NRL will know what the forecasts are.

Souths made their revenue on an avg of 14k crowd and 31k members that year. I would hope a perth club can beat that avg and get at least 20k members. So presuming sponsors are there no reason for concern.

Perth will have to spend a significant sum on talent scouts, coaches and development officers to compete with the other clubs. We know this won't be cheap because Melbourne Storm spent more than every club, bar the Broncos, for 15-20 years.

It's stupid how you think we should forfeit further growth in NZ and Brisbane just so we can gain neglible returns in rusted on AwFuL states. You're basically asking the game to leave millions on the table to fund your dream.

What if fans don't like the Broncos or Dolphins?

What if they live in an unserviced area like Ipswich and Logan.

You said the Dolphins aren't a citywide club. That answers your question.
Why wouldnt you like the dolphins? Why arent the dolphins servicing ipswich and logan? I thought they were Brisbane2?

Which is it, are they are Brisbane2 or arent they? Ive argued they arent, you and many others argued they are, so now the rubber meets the road youre telling me youre not supporting them because they are a northern area club not a Brisbane wide club? Youre saying they dont appeal to a large section of Brisbane and you still need a third club?. Want to tell me again why they were a better choice than Firehawks lol.

In all for NZ2, if a bid that is viable comes along.
Brisbane3, not needed. Perth can partner with a Brisbane feeder club then lots of opportunities for player development from there. In fact if we adopted newtown jets and western Clydesdales as feeder clubs then Perth would be helping resurrect two pathway clubs from the brink. Thatd be a nice thing for WA to do to help out Sydney and Qlnd lol

Perth
PNG
NZ2
Adelaide

Any three of those 4 for a 20 team comp will do me.
