HBF park is double the size of Redcliffe & SCS, likely to be more if/when they get a team. Also in the centre of Perth not really suburban.

Redcliffe is too small for NRL games currently, it would be a good “country” venue if it was 300kms+ away from Brisbane, not 30. At least Sunshine Coast is getting a decent upgrade.
It’s pretty much an average stadium at best

that western side is awful

dolphins don’t play many games at kayo. Indeed without the wwc they wouldlve played less

Perth will be playing all their games at hbf park

Chances are Western side will get replaced but who knows until it all happens. As it stands though the East and Northern stands alone provide more quality seating than Kayo.

The fact that Brisbane f**ked up their second team shouldn't mean that they get to skip the line, so to speak, to rush through a third in an attempt to make up for the mistake. You had your chance and you wasted it on a backwater suburban club instead of a club with mass appeal, and now you want to flood the market with superfluous clubs to plug the leaks at the expense of other markets.

The last thing this sport needs is more pissant suburban clubs, if anything we should be trying to get rid of some of them, not adding more. So bugger repeating the mistakes made in Sydney because a different group of entitled arseholes need a club within walking distance to entice them to get off their lazy arses and get to a game. Brisbane suburban comps already exist, and nothing is preventing those people from going to support them if that's what they desire, but the National Rugby League isn't the place for it.

Whether you like it or not, Brisbane and Sydney are true rugby league cities with over 100 years of history propping up the game. Without Brisbane and Sydney there would be no rugby league in Australia. The game would probably be close to extinct at the professional level without Brisbane and Sydney. Both cities have earned the right to have multiple teams.

Perth has earned the right to have a team because it has spent decades developing the game at the grassroots level and is bidding for a spot in the NRL. It's not a rugby league city like Brisbane and Sydney, but it's done enough to warrant inclusion and I'll be happy if it gets the 18th licence ahead of the Brisbane Tigers.

Adelaide is a dyed in the wool fumbleball city that has shown no f**ken interest in rugby league. Brisbane and Sydney shouldn't be forced to sacrifice their teams to prop up one that's unwanted in Adelaide just to satisfy your lust for expansion. If you believe so strongly in expansion then ask the Raiders' management to relocate to Adelaide and play out of Hindmarsh Stadium.

Perf going to play in a shitty suburban ground

we’re talking about the need for another brisbane team because the dolphins have been such a success you dope

lmao
Hbf park is in the middl of the city lol, it’s not suburban by any stretch of your delusional imagination.

it’s also 20,500 with 90% seating, over two dozen corporate boxes and 12,000 seats plus undercover. Hbf park >>>>>>>>> Dolphin stadium.

The reality is that there is no demand from the RL supporting public for another team in Brisbane (yet).

The push is from a group (the Tigers) wanting a slice of the pie.

It would be showing Australia that we are insular in the extreme to the most 3 teams from SEQ in succession added to be comp.

How would you know what the Brisbane public want?

You don't even live in the city.

No one on this board has asked everyone in Brisbane what they want, BTW.

The strong ratings and crowds for Broncos and Dolphins this year prove there's a strong appetite for rugby league. Both clubs are ahead of everyone else on the metrics that cou t. That's proof Brisbane wants more local content and has the means to support it

You’ve clearly never been. I’ve sat in west stand in main corporate area numerous times during the reds Jim beam cup days, and in the seats along the 20m line area for nrl games and it’s not awful at all.

Yes it needs replacing with a modern corporate stand for sure but compared to some of the sht stands/hills still in the nrl it’s nowhere near as bad as you are making out.

They’ve said they intend to play 4-5 games a year at Redcliffe/SC, that’s over a third of their home games lol this year it’s been a 7/5 split.
