The Dragons have more juniors than a Polynesian wedding.

Dogs & Chooks don't develop players. The rest of the clubs do OK if you discount Melbourne and even they have a solid juniors program in development.

Conclusion - Dogs and Chooks are pretty much the same joint. I think the fans of both clubs would agree.

Didn't expect a bite that quick.

Why the f**k would anybody sober be up at 4am if they weren't rooting a supermodel.........or had a kid who is cutting his teeth?

I'm at home now because I have a country to run.

Can't stay out partying till 11am when you run Australia! It's just not possible!

Yeh, apperently Don Arthur set up a meet with the club and SBW. He is the one who always has been good with SBW and Khoder. Apperently he is working it out between the club and SBW to get him back.

f**k i hope so.

Heard the same song and dance, even heard he will take slightly less to return to us then go to the roosters.

I've always said that if he was honestly sorry and wanted to work it out with the club i'd be 110% behind it, if he came back with love for the club and wanted to right the wrongs he would put pride in our jersey we have lacked for a few years now.

Canterbury Bulldogs deny reports they have approached Sonny Bill Williams to return to Belmore

THE Canterbury Bulldogs last night furiously denied claims the club had approached former star Sonny Bill Williams to return to Belmore.

A report on Channel 9 news suggested a Bulldogs official had made contact with Sonny Bill's manager.

"There have been no meetings or discussions regarding Sonny Bill Williams and there is no intention for that to change," Canterbury CEO Todd Greenberg said.

"The Bulldogs have no interest in Sonny Bill Williams, we moved on long ago. I can't make it any clearer than that.

"We won't be dragged into any further comment regarding speculation relating to Sonny Bill Williams. Our focus at the Bulldogs is the opportunity that is in front of us, not on the events of the past."

Can't beat the early hours. I'm going to replace AG's avatar with a feral cat I shot a couple of hours ago . . . running out of room on the trophy wall

So bloody true. All these player managers are cancer in the game. Do away with them all.

I disagree. People don't realise alot of guys wouldn't even be getting a run if it weren't for their managers. Jonathan Thurston being the best example. I'm friends with a player manager and what he does for his guys goes way beyond the contract. He accommodates them from time to time, drives them around and there's a few of his guys who wouldn't be playing rugby league if he hadn't have got them a run at their respective clubs

Nothing changes, I don't expect TG to come out and say YES WE WANT HIM. However it sounds as if we have no interest, be it one club or another, i will be so glad to sbw back in the game. He was the best forward in the game by a huge margin and any club that picks him up is doing extremely well. Provided he is there for anything outside of money. Roosters seems unlikely for that.

SBW Would get schooled if he came back..... or he would shoulder charge some muppet and xplode his arm again.... I liked his offloads but like Hayne if you get in his face early and dont sit back and give him room he fustrates himself out of the game.

Most over rated over hyped forward in the game.

BTW DoggiesBro what happened to Graeme from England being "THE BEST FORWARD" in the game. I also seem to recall you bad mouthing SBW in one of the other threads saying how you would never like to see him in dogs colours ever again?? (I'll see if I can find the thread and your posts)

I wouldnt mind seeing him back in the NRL but am absolutely positive the Dogs won't ever take himn back and any true Dog fan would take a broken bottle up the bum before they wished to see him back in the blue and white.

So easy to say ''get in his face early''
Theres more than just him in the team, and when you do the above, it creates room for others
And even when he does get the ball....he can be as deep as he wants - make as much room for himself as he wants. Defense line is always where it is

It would be really stupid on the Dogs behalf to throw millions at a second rower when you really need a quality halfback and five eighth.

In all honesty i'd be glad to see SBW back in the blue and white, he was a kid and made a bad mistake. I hope he thinks the same now too and returns to the dogs, if he does it's obvious he wants to right some wrongs (while making some big money in the nrl) and a healthy hungry and motivated sbw would be without a doubt worth more then any forward in the nrl.

he was THE best forward in the game and would of been one of the best of all time if he didn't leave.

before the wankers dribble on about me being biased, this is the truth and if he goes to the roosters or eels or any other club he will still be an absolute dominate force, the only negitive side of him going to either of those clubs is it shows he doesnt think what he did was wrong and is most likely going there for money as the main motivation.

anyway it will be UNREAL to see sbw back in the nrl.

agree

Not really hard to get into his face it's basicly means an increase in your Line Defence if he drops back deep lets say as deep as soward to give himself room if the defence line is fast it will be a loss of ground anyways...... when he was playing before the tempo of the game was a fair bit slower and the defensive lines of most teams werent very fast.

I honestly think like Justin Hodges (Who is largely ineffective now due to the changes in how teams defensive lines now work) SBW will struggle to adapt and would Just be a super expensive foward with a chance to offload. Yeah Agree why the feck would the Dogs want another overpriced foward prone to injuries when their halves need so much work...

Besides I was never Enamored or bedazzled with SBW "SKILLS"

Well, StormHi has got it all figured out. If only NRL coaches thought of that a few years ago...

I can't imagine the dogs would really want SBW back - too much bad blood, and if they're smart they'd spend the money on someone like Foran instead.

But if they DID get SBW, then I, and most Manly supporters, would be somewhat relieved that the Dogs have less money to spend on chasing our players.

After what he did to the Dogs he should be black banned. Instead every second club want to throw large chunks of money at him. SBW and other players who quelch on contracts sould never be given a second chance
